NATALIA I wake up with only a minor twinge of pain in my gut. Whatever Mia did last night put me in a very deep sleep, deep enough to remain asleep as they came in and out of my room to set up everything around me. Two candles are burning on my nightstand, their combined scent reminding me of Max. I am also dressed in one of the t-shirts I brought of his. I never even considered last night that wearing one would help me, but it does. There are also cooling packs that don’t seem to ever warm up sitting at my feet and legs, with a couple of soundless fans circulating cold air around me. I miss Max terribly, but I am terrified about what he will do. Will it worry him? Will he come here? Will it just scare him? I still don’t understand why I even went into heat. It is supposed to incentivi
