Taylor pov

For some reason i started getting nervous about my birthday, it was now only a week away, Callahan and i had been hanging out most of the day again without wondering if we liked each other, no one spoke about it, But i knew it pissed Tabby off, I really didn’t care, I knew she liked him. but i also knew she had slept with most of the guys here, she has told everyone that She will be Callahan Queen, now how did she know that, I don't see Callahan hanging out with her every single day like he does with me, i think its funny how she would walk by us mean mugging me, Callahan caught her once and asked what her problem was, she huffed walking away, I really didn’t know what her problem was. I told kimmie i would let her out today. i knew she was itching to go for a run maybe hunt down some prey so she could eat and run around like she loves to do, I went out into the woods, I felt like there was something off when i got to where i could take my clothes off putting them inside a tree so i could shift into my cat, I shook the uneasiness off of me, i shifted into Kimmie then let her take over, she ran for awhile then hunted down a deer feasting on the flesh, when she was done, she went to the pond to have a drink. she raised her head up sniffing the air, looking around.

“Do you feel it to Kimmie?”

“Yeah I do, I felt it when we shifted. I thought it was just Tabby following us but she stopped following us an hour into the run when she realized Callahan wasn't with us, something is wrong Taylor.”

“I know, let's go see if we can see anything, maybe its just rogues we can deal with,” We took off for a run trying to see if the uneasiness would go away. After a few minutes we smelled it, we smelled blood and not animal blood. We ran faster to see what was going on, We heard fighting yelling growling hissing, jumping up into a tree. It would be a lot faster. I jumped from limb to limb. monkeys were jumping out of my way as i jumped past them, i guess they thought i was jumping at them, but i wasn’t, i needed to get where i heard the fighting to see if anyone needed help, When i got to where the fighting was. I realized it was the king and his men who were at war with some rogues. i thought Jennifer said that he was going to meet some alphas for a meeting, i guess they never got the chance since rogues had stopped them, His guys where going down fast, i had to get down from here so i could help, they were after the king, I jumped down roaring making everyone stop in there tracks, The king knew who i was. i was one of his best warriors, the last of his men went down a rogue slit their throats, I was not going to let them take the king down, jumping on one of them i ripped and clawed at him killing him another jumped on me clawing at my stomach but i kicked it off of me ripping out its throat, i should had been watching out for the king, i should had been trying to keep him safe, I looked at the group that was coming toward me, i saw a female she was in her cat form, she was staring at me and it look like she had a smirk on her cats face, oh how i wanted to rip her face right off, I didn't see the three that was coming up to the king until i turned and saw them with daggers in their hands. I started running toward them but i got there too late. They stabbed him in the back, the other slit his throat, while the third stabbed him in the stomach, I screamed out “NO STOP, YOU CAN’T DO THAT!!” But what they heard was my cat growling as she attacked and killed all three of them, The others ran off as i heard the leader say,

“Come on, let's go, the job is done.” I didn’t know what that meant, all I knew was i had to try and save King Ryan, i shifted back running over to him taking him in my arms, i tried to stop the bleeding, i tried to heal him, i knew i was a healer, but my powers wouldn't come until my birthday, but i just had to try, I placed my hands on his stomach and throat, i closed my eyes and tried so hard, i felt my powers coming forward, But they wouldn’t let me heal the king. i lifted my hand from his stomach, the hole in his stomach was still there,

“ I am so sorry Ryan, i am so very sorry,” He reached for my hand, holding it looking into my eyes, he tried to talk, it came out in a soft whisper,

“Tell my fa,,mi,,ly tha.t i..lo.v.e .th,,e,,m”then he was gone, I knew they would be here soon, because Jennifer would had felt her husband dying, I cried out as i held onto him,,, I kept trying to heal him over and over again, how come i could not heal him. moon goddess please let me heal him, please just this once, When i opened my eyes i got smacked in the face, then pulled away from Ryan, Jennifer was screaming at me, Callahan was just standing there looking at me in shock,

“Please just let me explain, i didn't do this, but i got hit hard., hard enough to know not to say anything again unless I am told to, i felt blood coming from my head, I must have gotten hit in the head really hard, Jennifer kept yelling at me, why did i kill her husband? I wanted to tell them, so I tried again,

“My queen, I beg of you, i did not do this please i b…. they didn’t give me time to finish, i was hit again hard, i felt like my jaw was broken, i was seeing black dots

“Taylor, why did you kill him, I thought we were friends, if you tell the truth now, ill let you live out your live in the cells,”

:I didn't do this Callahan,” I saw him sigh, then turned to one of the guards,

“Take her to the dungeons cell. When we are done with my fathers burial, I will come see her, do not do anything to her. but don't be easy on her either, now go!” I was dragged away by my arms. I felt like they were going to pull them out of their sockets, if i fight them they would think i did kill him. if i don’t they probably still think that, i am damn if i do im damn if i don’t, All i can hope for is when Callahan comes to see me he would listen to me. Would he hear me out? I just don't know.
