Last night was really tough for me and Josie, both. We did manage to escape those kidnappers by fleeing off of the house, but to make sure they don’t catch us, we had to climb up a tree and stay there for the rest of the night. It was very cold in the forest and also there’s this fear of getting caught at any moment. And whenever we heard footsteps nearby, I literally hold my breath and hugged Josie tight into my body so that they can smell us or see us.
The entire night passed like that, and I never closed my eyes for over a minute. Josie did fall asleep in my arms, but I made sure she’s not cold or scared. When the sun finally came up, there were no signs of the kidnappers around. We climbed down the tree and decided to go to th
