Caged Between Two Alphas

Chapter : 13. Not mine..

Alice’s point of view :-

Now that I am here in the house of alphas as one of them, I have to start dressing up like them too. So, giving up on my style, I chose to wear a dress that Caroline arranged for me. It’s an all black knee length dress that was made of net from chest up. The dress reveals both my knees and my cleavage.

Once I was ready, I had no idea what to do. So, I started checking my husband’s clothes. All of these shirts and shoes look so expensive. Once I was done there, I walked into the room and looked around. I have everything in here, but still the room looks so empty. I sat on the vanity and started checking on everything in there. And that’s when I found out that in a drawer of the vanity, there are a lot of jewelry for me. There’s everything like earrings, pendents, bracelets, hair clips. etc.. And all of them are made of silver, gold or diamond. Some of them are even made of unique stones that I don’t even know the names of. Caroline did think of everything I will ever need.

I quickly closed the drawer in fear. What if I lose something from here? What if they think I stole something? I don’t think I will ever get the courage to wear those jewelries. I passed the rest of my time looking around until a maid came to call me.

“Madam.. The dinner’s ready. They are expecting you downstairs.” For the first time, I heard the word madam for me from a werewolf. All the maids, servants and guards I have seen while coming here, I noticed all of them are werewolves. I might be the only human on this entire property.

They called me downstairs. So, fixing my dress and my hair, I went to the dining room. Once I reached there, I found Caroline, Eric and Josie already there.

“Mommy.. You are here..” Josie came running to me and hugged me as soon as I came downstairs.

“Yes. You woke up? How was your nap?”

“It was good. Come. The food is very tasty.” She led me to a chair right beside her and patted it for me to sit. After I sat down, she also sat down on her chair that is beside Caroline.

“I never saw Josie liking someone so fast. How did you manage to make her trust you?” Alpha Eric asked me with a smile on his face and admiration in his eyes.

“She has this personality that makes everyone fall in love with her. She impressed me the first time I talked to her, like she did with Josie. Now I only hope her magic works in Austin and he falls in love with her too.” The smile on my face wiped away when she mentioned about my husband. I still can’t accept him as my husband. Then how can he do it so fast?

“Where is he anyway? Hasn’t he come back yet?”

“No. He is being stubborn again. But I am sure he will return tonight. It’s their first night together. He won’t miss it.”

My head is slowly coming down from their discussion. I completely forgot that it’s our first night as husband and wife. It’s the night he will expect me to give myself to him. This thought never came into my head. Not even before the wedding. Am I ready for it? Can I give him what he deserves?

“Mommy. Taste this. It’s my favorite..” My breathing was getting heavy and I was going into a panicked state when Josie distracted me in time and all my focus shifted to her.

She forwarded me her fork with some pasta in it and expected me to eat it. I don’t know if it’s okay to eat her food or not because I am still a human, no matter what my title is. So, I looked up at Caroline for her permission and she smiled at me for it.

“She’s your daughter now. You are allowed to share everything with her. Go on.” Once I got the permission, I ate from her fork and it made her very happy.

“Mmm.. It’s very tasty. Thank you..” I told her with a broad smile that made her day. The grin on her face was expressing how happy I made her.

“Alice. You are our family now. You don’t have to take permission for anything. Especially with Josie. But you have to keep one thing in mind. With money and respect, Austin also earned some enemies who are always trying to hurt us. So, you have to take good care of Josie and never trust anyone else with her. Always stay aware of people around us. And Alice. I want you to call me granny from now on. You are just like Austin and Eric to me. So I want you to trust me like they do.”

“I will.” I passed her a small nod even when I don’t think I am ready for anything she said. Why is it so hard for me to adjust to this house? They keep telling me that this is my house and my family. But my heart is telling me that nothing here is mine.

I ate my dinner with them, even though my husband is not here with us. I felt bad to not wait for him for dinner. But Caroline told me that I should not wait for him because he skips dinner most of the days at home. Ad after all of us were done, everyone went back to their rooms to sleep.

“Alice. It’s your special night. I know Austin will be back soon. Wait for him in your room. And it might not feel right at first, but I want you to take the lead. Make him commit to you. It’s a very good chance to remind him that you are his wife now. Try to fix everything between you.” Those were Caroline’s words before she left me at my door.

Take the lead? She wants me to seduce her grandson to lure him into bed with me? How am I supposed to do that? I have no idea. I once heard that men get turned on when they see girls in short clothes. So, maybe I should try it. I went straight to the cupboard and started searching for something that would fit with my intentions. Although every clothes in my side looks like that, I chose a light robe that might work for tonight.

With only a sexy lace lingerie inside, I wore the robe and kept my hair stay free. Standing in front of the mirror, I checked myself once, and I was looking very attractive indeed. But now what? I went to sit on the bed and think of what to do next. What else can I do to impress him?

At that moment, the truth hit me again. What am I doing? Am I trying to seduce an alpha? What if it works? What will happen then? No.. I am not ready for this. I can’t sleep with him. What if he hurt me? I was again starting to panic. Pulling up the quilt on my body I try to hide myself in it. I can’t let anyone see me like this. I am not ready to give myself to him yet.

“But he’s my husband. He deserves this.”

I started talking on my own while thinking about what to do. I am a married woman now. I can keep my husband away from me. This is not how a marriage works. If I want to have a normal life, I have to accept him. I have to give him everything he deserves. All these thoughts started giving me a headache. So, I closed my eyes to rest and I have no idea when I fell asleep.

A loud noise of a door closing woke me up, and I jumped up on the bed. It took me a second to realize I had fallen asleep and now my husband is back. But what time is it now? I looked at the clock on the wall and found it ticking way past twelve. Was he out in this cold till midnight? I was watching him as he was slowly walking in while opening his shirt. I was waiting for him to say something to me. And he did.

“What are you doing here? Get off of my bed right now.”

Seeing me there, he jumped up, making me flinch too. I got scared by the way he screamed at me. So, I didn’t think twice before climbing down the bed fast. But once I was down, I remembered that I was wearing a very inappropriate dress in front of him. So, I tried to grip the side of the robe to control my nervousness while looking down at my feet is shame.

“How dare you to come into my room and get on my bed? Do you think now that you succeed in tying me up with yourself, you got everything you wanted? You think all of this belongs to you from now on? Answer me.” He shouted at me so loudly that I felt like crying in fear.

“No. I’m.. I’m sorry. Your grandmother told me to wait for you in here. She told me I am going to stay in this room from now on. I didn’t mean to..”

“You didn’t mean to invade my life, but yet you are here. Taking over everything. Get out. Get out of my room right now. There are a lot of rooms in this house. Find another one for you. Go.” For a moment, it seemed like if I stay in this room for another minute, he will kill me without any hesitation. So, I was almost running out of his room to save myself.

“Wait. You don’t have to go.” Before I can get out, he stopped me and I slowly turned around to him with hope that he might have remembered that I am his wife now.

“Let’s clear things up between us right now. I don’t want to see your face all the time. So, try to stay out of my way as much as you can. You are my wife, but you can never be my mate and there’s no place for you in my life. But no one needs to know about it. I don’t need the world or granny to know what is going between us two. So, from now on, we will be a couple for everyone. I know you are good at acting, so use it. And if you hurt any of my family members, I will kill you myself. Now go and sleep on the balcony. It’s the only place you deserve in my house. Go.”

He did remember that I am his wife. But he also made me realize that I am not the wife he wanted and I am not the one he will ever accept. I am nothing to him. So, holding onto my tears, I went to the balcony, which he chose as my new place. He doesn’t want to see my face and I will try my best to stay out of his way. I was wrong. This place will never be my home and these people my family because the one who I actually belong to doesn’t want me. It’s just a matter of days before he throws me out of here somehow.

I closed the door of the balcony from outside and looked for a place to settle into. This place is so cold that I feel like freezing at any moment, but I have nothing to cover myself with. So, I chose to sit on a corner of the balcony behind a plant that might save me from the cold wind a little. I covered my body inside the robe as much as I can and hugged my knees to my chest to curl myself up. It would be so much better if I don’t survive till the morning.
