As I sat beside Luca after the hardest fight of our lives, our attention was turned to a lone survivor of the fight. He was bleeding badly and very weak from where Luca had bitten him. Part of me wanted to finish him off, but I also realized that he may only have been following orders. One way or the other, he was faced with a death sentence. Fight us or be killed by his Alpha later along with anyone who chose to stay as a witness. I turned to them without even asking Luca or discussing it with him first and asked the witnesses to help him. Showing him mercy that they probably had never seen before.
