  The biggest event I've ever been to was to a wedding that I attended when I was a child still living in India. I don’t remember much from that night except for the music and the embroidered lehengas the women wore. Everything seemed so beautiful to me and from there on I've always wanted to attend another but this time, wearing my very own sequin lehenga. I never did get the chance though, as Papa and I moved to the states three months later and I was thrown into the western culture. Knee length dresses and figure hugging ball gowns were all that I saw from then. It’s not like I didn’t find those clothes beautiful, they were elegant but in a different way from what the Indians wore. And if I'm being honest, I never thought that wearing any of those exposing dresses would look good on me
