  Once Alex left, I went up to my room, took a long shower until the warm water felt cold on my body and then curled up beside the window to watch the clouds pass by until it was time for me to make dinner. My routine days were starting to add to the misery I already felt. I tried picking the locks to all other rooms in this house, but I couldn’t unlock any one of them and that didn’t surprise me because I knew the devil must have installed some kind of rich, unscrewable locks on each door, unlike the ones that were installed back in my apartment.
