Five Months Later...
Every gulp left a burning sensation as the blood travelled down Lenora’s throat. A feeling that was becoming very familiar with every feeding. Drinking from Jade felt different, amiss and insipid.
The blood high she always got from drinking at the source replaced with an intense feeling of nausea. Jade wasn’t unwell yet her blood pooled in Lenora’s stomach, creating a burn. A blaze that got worse the more she drank from her blood servant. Jade had been her only source of blood for years, ever since she’d turned eighteen after her parents retired from her service.
