Daisy was busy making herself some pasta. It was lunchtime and she was hungry. “How could he accuse me of cheating? I would never do that on her or anybody else. Only I know, how much I despise that word”, anger boiled inside her as she remembered Hades false accusation.

“This is the reason his lover left him, because of his nasty temper”, she said while talking to herself, not knowing that Hades is there listening to her.

“What did you just say?”, he yelled in anger and her gripped tightly onto her elbows pulling her up towards his face level. He couldn’t complete the sentence he was about to roar at her.

“HADES?” A familiar voice yelled.

Eddie stood at the doorstep with Quinn beside him clutching onto his pants slightly hiding behind him. Most probably shocked at her uncle’s odd behavior. Hades never shouted or talked loudly at anyone in front of Quinn. Hades face instantly softened,, so he let go of Daisy’s arms. She stepped back while rubbing her arms. Her upper arms slightly reddened due to strong grip earlier. Hades didn’t mean to hurt her like that,, and he instantly felt guilty about it.

Holy, his dog, who was cradled inside Quinn’s little hands, jumped out of her hold and cantered towards him. He was with her for the past month as she really adored him. Most probably they came to give him back to Hades. Holly barked joyfully and sniffed around Hades legs. He took him in his arms while gently stroking his black and tan fur. He could feel Daisy’s surprised eyes staring at him, but he couldn’t help himself to look at her right after hurting her.

Eddie took Quinn in his arms and walked towards them. He shot Hades a glare. No words formed in Hades tongue,, so he just looked at him with regretful eyes. He averted his gaze towards Daisy and looked at her with soft eyes.

“Quinn princess, why don’t you go and play with Holly outside, Dad will come later”, Eddie said to his cute daughter who in his arms. Quinn vigorously nodded her head and jumped out of his arms and took Holly from Hades. N

Quinn took Holly in her small arms and walked out of the living room towards the backyard. Eddie turned towards Hades and Daisy while folding his arms over his chest.

“Were you guys fighting?” He questioned, his eyes switching between both of their eyes. Hades opened his mouth to talk but immediately shut up since he didn't know what excuse to give when he already caught them fighting red-handed.

“Look guys, if you've any kind of arguments or misunderstandings, clear it. Don't fight like this. You will end up hurting each other.” Eddie advised both of them.

Hades and Daisy, both nodded their heads, mumbling 'okay'.

“Eddie, I'll serve you coffee. Please be seated.”, Daisy said, flashing a warm smile at her brother-in-law. He nodded and smiled back at her. Turning around, Daisy walked towards the kitchen to prepare coffee.

Meanwhile, Eddie sat on the sofa along with Hades.

“Hades?”, Eddie called the younger one. Hades hummed as he looked at his older brother.

“How are you? How are you treating her? Why were you holding her like that?”, he asked with questioning eyes.

“Edd, she said my lover left me because of my nasty personality” Hades complained, stressing on the word ‘nasty’.

“What? Why?,”

“I-I brought another woman on our wedding night and cheated on her face.” He blankly replied.

“ARE YOU INSANE, HADES?”, Eddie yelled.

Hades didn’t reply, he just looked down in guilt.

“I can’t believe my brother, who hated the word “cheating”, cheated on his wife”, Eddie yelled again.

“Tell me what else you did?”, he asked in rage.

“Yesterday she came home late, and when she came we started arguing and…”,

“&…?”,

“I-I accused her of cheating”, Hades completed his sentence making Eddie jolt up in anger.

“What the hell?!”, Eddie yelled.

“Calm down Eddie, Calm down, you can’t murder your insane stupid younger brother”, Eddie said to himself taking deep breaths to calm his self down.

Eddie sighed loudly and sat on the couch again.

“Did you guys had a proper conversation?”

Hades didn’t say a word. He just sat there silently, lips glued together.

“Hades, please. Don’t be like this. She’s your wife, for God’s Sake. It’s been almost a week since your marriage. I can’t believe that you both didn’t have a proper conversation until now.”, Eddie rubbed his forehead, frustrated.

“Listen Hades, you are hurting her emotionally. Please stop being stubborn and move on with this relationship.” Again, Hades didn’t have a reply for his older brother’s request.

“At least apologize to her. Have you seen her arms? It’s reddened with your fingerprints.” Hearing him, Hades felt extremely guilty.

“I don’t know how to start a conversation with her. I’ll do it in some other way.”, Hades started thinking about of ways to apologize to Daisy.

“Do whatever you like. I don’t want her to suffer because of your stubbornness.” Eddie said, and stood up from the couch.

He walked towards the backyard to find his daughter, but failed as he didn’t see her over there. He frowned and hastily walked back inside to call for her loudly, but then he heard people talking inside the kitchen. Knitting his eyebrows, he walked towards the kitchen. And there he saw his daughter sitting on the kitchen countertop licking the spoon while a bowl of ice-cream was placed securely in her lap. She was talking to Daisy, who was preparing sandwiches. Holly laid beside her on the floor as if he was keenly listening to their conversations.

A smile crept over his face. Eddie stood there watching Daisy interacting with his daughter. “I’m sure she can give Hades his lost happiness,” he mumbled to himself.

“What are you guys doing?”, Eddie entered the kitchen.

“Dad, Daise is preparing sandwiches and milkshake for me”, Quinn chimed in as her eyes crinkled with delight. Daisy smiled at her.

“Ah that's cool. Quinn baby aren't you disturbing Daise?”, Eddie asked thinning his eyes at his daughter.

“No, Edd. I am always happy to prepare food for my favorite girl.” Daisy said, pinching Quinn's chubby cheeks while smiling fondly at her. Eddie chuckled. “By the way. Can I ask you something Eddie?", Daisy asked, turning to face her brother-in-law.

“Yes sure.” He said.

“Quinn baby, you go and play with Holly, okay?” She smiled at him, and he helped her get down. She took Holly in her arms and waddled her way out of the kitchen.

“What is it, Daisy?” Eddie asked concerned.

“What made Hades become like this?” She asked, a little hesitated because she didn’t know how he will react to her question.

Eddie chuckled at Daisy's question, making her confuse. “He was never like that, you know In fact he was the most lively person I've ever seen in my life. He always goofs around us.” Daisy's eyes widened at his reply. Hades and goofiness! Wow! What a great combo! He continued. “And the reason he isn’t that lively person is because he’s a victim of a painful past, and he’s still suffering from it. “, Eddie said in a sad voice.

‘He’s still recovering! What? And what am I supposed to do! Change him! Am I any rehabilitation center for changing someone’s behavior?”, Daisy asked herself?

Ah, don’t think like that, Daisy. He’s a victim of a painful past. So be with him emotionally. The other side of her conscience convinced me. “Oh now I get it why he got so hyper when I mentioned his lover”, Daisy said to herself.

“Just give him some time. I’m sure he will open up to you.” Eddie gently patted Daisy’s head, and she smiled at him.

“Let’s have coffee.” Daisy said, and he nodded and then walked out of the kitchen. She took the coffee tray along with sandwiches and made her way towards the living room. She sat a little away from Hades while Eddie sat on the opposite sofa.

“We came here to invite you to a trip. Quinn wants her Daise and Hady for a small picnic near the lakeside. You guys will be coming, right?” Seating himself on the sofa, Eddie started speaking. Daisy and Hades both eyes sparkled upon hearing him.

“A trip! OMG, at least for few hours I can see the outside world and have a fun time after a long time. I’m really excited,, but I doubt that this Greek statue will agree.” Daisy said cried inside her mind.

Before she could say yes, Hades started speaking.

“Edd, I am busy with the new project.”

“It’s just for a day, Hades. Quinn is looking forward to this.” Eddie reasoned. Hade couldn’t deny Quinn’s request.

So, he slowly nodded.

“When are you planning to go?”, Hades asked.

“Maybe a couple of weeks later.”, Eddie tilted his head.

“Hmm okay. By that time, my project will be done, I guess.” Hades said, sipping on his cup of coffee. This would be the first time Daisy clearly heard his voice. It was deep and husky yet soothing. “So, we will go with you.” Hades confirmed. Daisy head literally had a massive party inside. A bright smile spread across her face.

After few more talks. Quinn joined them guys while having her milkshake. Holly trotted towards Daisy and sniffed around her legs as she was sitting on the couch. . He wiggled his tail, looking up at her. Daisy chuckled and took him in her arms and cradled him on her lap as she stroked his thick silky fur, earning small purrs from him. He was a small, cute Teacup Pomeranian.

After another fifteen minutes, Eddie and Quinn bid their goodbyes. Right after that Hades went upstairs to his room along with Holly while Daisy went to clean the kitchen, She returned to her bedroom and started doing the assignments and projects in her laptop. About two hours later, she stretched her aching limbs and got out of the bed to have a light dinner. She went to open the refrigerator,, but then something bright caught her eyes at the counter top beside the refrigerator. It was a bag of ice pack and beside there was sticky stuck on the marbled countertop. And something was written on it.

“I’m sorry. It was not my intention to hurt you, “It read. There weren’t anybody else in this house. So, it’s obviously from him. Her Greek statue husband.

It took you a few minutes to realize what he meant. A smile crept on Daisy’s lips when she understood why he apologized. Somewhere inside her felt a little happy since he at least noticed her arm. She examined her upper arm. There weren’t any marks,, but the area was slightly red.

“He isn’t a bastard completely, I guess”, Daisy smiled

She took the icepack and walked out of the kitchen and that’s when she saw Hades coming downstairs. She waited for him to reach near her.

“This is the best moment to thank him.”, she thought.

“Hades?” she called him and he stopped in his tracks and turned around to look at her. “Thank you for this.” she held up the icepack in her hands. Hades glanced at her arms and simply nodded his head with the same Greek statue blank expression on his face. He then walked into the kitchen to gulp down a glass of water.

“Is he the same guy who put this icepack on the kitchen counter?” Daisy scoffed.

“And about that yesterday contract”, Daisy said out of nowhere making Hades coughed his water.

“I deleted the video, I acted crazy I am sorry”, Daisy apologized, embarrassed.

“No, it was my mistake I acted like a complete bastard, I shouldn’t brought those ladies and shouldn’t accused you of cheating”, Hades said rubbing his neck.

“So we are good now, right”, Daisy asked with a smile making Hades nod.

“Goodnight”, she said while turning around and then moved back to her bedroom.
