Chapter 4 What Are You Trying to Pull again?

1263 Words
Having made up her mind, Emily got up and left the room. Seeing that Susan was taking out her phone and typing on it, she signed to her, [Is there a printer in the villa?] Susan looked at her and nodded, "Yes, come with me." When they came to the study room, Susan pushed open the door and said, "Miss Emily, the printer is right here, go ahead and use it, but be quick, Sir doesn't like people in his study." Emily nodded and put her hands together in a gesture of thanks. Susan hastily waved her hand. "That's what I’m here for." Emily went into the study, turned on the printer and started printing. But at the same time, Charles came back again with his phone. The aura around him was condensed, and his face was even darker than before. The more he thought of the fact that the Millers had sent a mute to his bed, the angrier he became. How dare they! I knocked a mute up! Very well, it's the first time I, Charles Corvo, have lost my face! Charles scanned the living room, but did not find the initiator. His face was even darker. At this moment, the printer's sound came from upstairs. He looked up coldly, hatred emerging on his face, and his thin lips pursed into a straight line. "What are you doing?" Charles walked to the door and scolded. Emily was shocked in front of the printer, and her body cowered violently. She turned her head in panic and saw Charles striding in with a grim face, grabbing her by the wrist and yanking her out. "Who gave you the right to enter my study?" The man's low growl startled Emily. She forcefully shook off his hot palm, chin up, and began to gesticulate, [I just came in to print a copy of...] "What are you saying? I can't read your signs!" Charles saw Emily using sign language and was even more annoyed. That was a sure reminder of the fact that he had married a mute wife. Emily blushed, biting her lips, she dropped her hand and took out her phone, typing, and then handed it to him. [I'm just printing a document. It'll be ready in a minute.] Charles' face was clouded with a cold chill emanating from his body, his eyes stared at her unkindly and suddenly snorted, "Emily, you didn’t just make up a poor lie just to get my attention, did you?" The undisguised mockery in his tone made Emily frown, she typed again, but Charles had no patience at all. "You have no right to enter my room. Too dirty!" "Bang!" The door closed in front of her, and Emily's long eyelashes trembled slightly. That bustard, is so nasty! What made him so confident to think that she was deliberately trying to get his attention? Emily was furious, and an angry look appeared on her delicate face as she walked towards her room. However, she stopped again at the door. The contract was still inside the study, she must get it back. Since the two hated each other, it was better to make an end early. Charles sat in his chair, his long fingers clutching a cigarette, his handsome face filled with anger. This girl from the Miller family was really a mute? No wonder she didn't say anything on the way from the Corvo Villa to his that morning. And the night a month ago, no matter how hard he tossed her and inside her until he came, she never said a word, but her body was so tight and wonderful that he didn't think much about it at the time. Suddenly the door was pushed open again and Emily walked in. Charles’ face was cold, but he pressed the cigarette into the ashtray, and said, "Emily, like I said, from now on, you have no right to be in my study." However, Emily ignored him and went straight to the printer, which had stopped working and the two documents were on it. She picked them up and checked just to make sure there was no problem and then handed them to him. "What are you trying to pull again?" As soon as he finished his sentence, Charles saw the headline on the document - Divorce Agreement. Charles' narrow eyebrows were raised slightly, and he gave Emily a surprised look. Emily duly handed her phone to him, which read, [Same here, I don't like to have my life arranged. When the child is born, I will leave voluntarily without asking for anything in return. Here is the agreement, read it.] Charles picked up the agreement and briefly flipped through it. He was surprised, "You really don’t want anything in return?" The only heir of the Corvo family was too conspicuous a name, so all sorts of people approached him in different ways since childhood. Charles always thought that a woman like Emily who had gone through the trouble of marrying him through means was bound to covet his vast wealth! But this woman actually said she wanted nothing in return. She doesn't want my money? What is she up to? Did I really misunderstand her? No, I’m not gonna fall for her trick. Again. Emily smiled. Her appearance was particularly beautiful, a slight smile could brighten her charm, but her eyes were too pure so that it made people feel guilty to have a trace of evil to her. [I don't want to be anyone's pawn, and I won't have a marriage without love, and I think Mr. Charles feels the same way, so I hope we can live in peace for the next ten months.] She put the phone down and looked calmly at Charles. She had a lot more to do and didn't want to put her mind on Charles at all. Charles suddenly got up, his long and tall figure instantly enveloped her  body, and his compelling aura swept over her, the crisp male breath approaching her, Emily's face instantly reddened. She subconsciously reached out and gestured, but then remembered Charles didn’t know sign language. She panicked and took out her phone, and was about to type when a long and bony hand suddenly appeared in front of her, directly picking up her chin. Emily's cheeks flushed, but her eyes looked at him in confusion. What does he want? Why is he so close to me? Charles' face was handsome and severe, his blue pupils were deep and obscure so that people can't read his feelings at first glance. He laughed lowly. His voice was magnetic and low. "Do you really want to live in peace, or do you want to use this alternative way to get my attention?" Emily was like, "..." She slapped the man's hand away, blushed badly and typed fast, then handed her phone to him, read, [You're such a narcissistic man, I'm not going to fall in love with you!] Charles' face was cold. "That will be the best!" He signed the agreement and then handed it back to Emily, who also signed under his watch and then typed, [I want us to leave each other alone for the next ten months.] After that, Emily turned around and left the study without waiting for his reaction. Her back was very straight. Charles' deep eyes looked at her back as she left, and he subconsciously put on a smile. This woman is so interesting!
