MADEIRA BEACH IS a small community below the Clearwater area on the West Coast of Florida with a Key West feel to it. It was more of a beach community than a city. Bike paths outnumbered the streets, and a canal ran alongside the road opposite the shoreline. Furthermore, most restaurants and businesses had a boat dock for customers to arrive by water.
