Hailey's P.O.V
"Nothing fits me anymore," I whimpered to Avery as he lay in our bed, "I am getting too damn fat," I added.
I was standing in our bedroom, trying to get ready to go shopping with Layla but I hated ever outfit that I was putting on, half my clothes getting too tight. Avery got up from the bed coming over to me. I turned to face him, and he pulled me in as close as he could get me without squishing my bump.
"You are not fat; you are pregnant, Kitten." He said, stroking my hair.
"Same blooming thing, "I huffed, pouting at him.
"No, it isn't." He said, kissing me, "You are still the most beautiful girl in the world to me." He added once he pulled away.
"Bullshit, but thank you." I giggled.
"It is the truth. To me, you are, nothing will change that." He said, "I love you." He added.
"I love you too," I said, pulling his lips back to mine.
"Do you want some of my clothes to wear?" He asked, "Joggers and a hoodie?" He added.
"Yes, please. I will need to get myself a few things when I am out today." I said.
"Get what you need my love. You need to be comfortable." Avery said.
He headed over, grabbing me a pair of joggers, one of his tees and a hoodie. I swear by the time this baby comes Avery is going to need new clothes because I would have stretched them all out with my pregnancy body.
"Here you baby girl," He said, handing them to me.
"Thank you; you are the bestest boyfriend ever," I said, pecking his lips.
I pulled away, stripping down the clothes I already had on, him sitting back on the bed. I hear Avery moan as he watched me. I don't know how he can still find me attractive with all the changes to my body and emotions. I looked at him, and he was watching me intensely.
"Beautiful," He breathed out.
I rolled my eyes at him, shaking my head. In return, Avery gave me a stern look. He climbed down the bed, kneeling in front of me. He pressed his lips roughly to mine, letting his fingertips dance over my body. I know this was his way of telling me that I was beautiful. I moaned loudly slipping my fingers into his hair and kissing him back. Avery pulled his lips from mine, moving them to my neck. I whimpered, my head falling back and pulling at his hair.
"Beautiful and sexy," He mumbled against my neck.
He was getting me all fired up. I was about to move for us to lay down.
"HAILEY WHERE YOU AT?" We hear Layla call loudly from downstairs.
"I will be down in a minute," I called back.
"I thought they were not meant to be here for another half an hour?" Avery groaned, slightly annoyed and frustrated.
"That is what time they told me," I said, also frustrated.
"Tell them to come back in half an hour," He chuckled.
"You know they will not listen to me." I giggled.
"I know, I will kick his ass for it when I go downstairs." He laughed, "But later when you come back, we can continue." He added.
"Mmm, looking forward to it," I said, stealing one last kiss before pulling away and getting dressed. I headed downstairs, Avery telling me to tell Mason he will be down soon.
I gave him a goodbye kiss, telling him I loved him before heading down.
"Avery will be down soon." I said, hugging them both, "Now can we go, I need new clothes, mine don't seem to fit anymore, hence why I have Avery's clothes on." I added, laughing.
"Yes, we shall go right now and see what cute clothes we can get you and Noah." Layla gushed.
She gave Mason a goodbye kiss before she and I headed out. I decided first thing first, food and smoothies before anything. Noah was kicking for food. I giggled as he did, Layla laughing too as her hand was on my bump.
"That boy is gonna eat you out of house and home." She laughed.
"You think? As long as my boy is happy," I smiled rubbing my stomach.
******
Layla and I have been fed, Noah had settled down eventually. I think he was sleeping.
"I don't want maternity clothes instead just gonna go a couple of sizes up, no jeans though," I said.
"Yes, stick to things more comfortable clothes." She said.
We headed into the clothing shop, searching for clothes for me. I still wanted cute clothes, even if I will have a huge bump. I don't care that after I have Noah, they will all be too big. I needed them right now to try to make myself feel better. I was browsing through the clothing.
"Well, well, who knew the good girl would be the first to get pregnant out of everyone." I hear from behind.
I rolled my eyes, hearing the voice behind me, Mandy. I was not in the mood for her. None of them knew that I was pregnant, I managed to hide it until school was finished.
"Mandy, go away," I said, glaring at her.
"Seriously, Hailey? Could get any more dumb, falling pregnant to someone like Avery? He will f**k off as soon as the baby is here." She laughed.
Does this girl have a death wish, messing with a hormonal pregnant girl?
"No, he won't, he isn't f*****g Joshua," I hissed, "Now get the hell out of my way," I added.
"You know it is true. He will be f*****g someone else in no time if he isn't already. Guys like him don't change." She said, looking smugly.
I could feel the anger build up as she spoke about Avery like that. I clenched my fists at my side, trying to stop myself from slapping her. Layla must have sensed it because she stepped in between Mandy and me.
"You have no damn clue what you are talking about. Avery is a good guy who looks after Hailey and will look after his baby when the baby arrives." Layla said firmly, "You have two seconds to turn and walk away before I slap you one." She added in a growl.
Mandy went to say something but Layla moved in closer to her and she back off turning and walking away. Mandy needs to grow up; we aren't in high school anymore. I guess some people never change.
"You OK sweetie?" Layla asked, turning to me.
"Yeah. I see she is still the same bitch." I said, rolling my eyes.
"She always will be." She said, "You know all of what she said was bullshit, right?" Layla said.
"I know that. I know Avery would never do that to Noah and me." I smiled.
I was not letting that b***h ruin my day with my best friend.
"Good, he would do anything for you." Layla smiled, hugging me.
"I know he would," I gushed, "Now come on, let's get back to shopping," I added.
I pushed her to the back of my head. I had not seen her or any of them since graduation. I preferred it that way. I got back to shopping, thankfully managing to find clothes that I liked and fitted me without making me uncomfortable.
"Now we have mummy sorted out, time for Noah." Layla said excited, jumping up and down, "Yay for baby clothes, so cute and tiny." She added.
I think my best friend may be broody.
"Broody much?" I laughed.
"A little but I will wait. I will have Noah to gush over." She said.
"Yes, you will," I said happily.
I knew our baby boy was going to be very loved and cared for by everyone.
"I can't wait to meet him. I still can't believe you are going to be a mummy." She said, "But you are going to be an amazing mum. I have no doubts about that." She added.
"I hope so," I said.
The full becoming a mother thing still scared me a little. I knew I would be OK because I have a fantastic support system around me. I have Avery.
"You, Avery and Noah are going to be an amazing little family," Layla said.
"I can't wait," I said.
Both of us knew it was going to be hard. As Avery keeps telling me, he and I can get through anything together. I believe it. The three of us were going to be OK.
