Hollis was on his feet the instant the suspect began to steer Vanni toward the back door of the club. He walked swiftly out the front door, pushing his way past a group of people waiting to have their IDs checked so they could enter. He reached his car and slid in, all the while keeping his eyes on the exit from the parking lot.
