My awe had not faded, seeing what Kai had just done. Her eyes were fixed on me intently, a look of seriousness in them. Seeing as she had just performed a rather serious ceremony, just to prove her feelings for me, I could not help but start to harbour some trust for her.
“Rhett,” she cooed. “Do you believe me now? Did my feelings reach you?”
I gazed at her, my eyes trailed to her plump red lips she had used to utter such words. My wolf, inside of me, yearned for one person, Nora, but at the moment, there was a force drawing me to Kai, a force I could not comprehend.
I decided to not fight it.
I levitated towards her, my hands slinking around her waist and my lips capturing hers in a soft kiss. Kai leaned into me with hesitation, her hands making their way around my neck.
