RHETT I stood there at the back entrance of the pack house, staring off into the distance. The guard had just left with Nora, taking her to the small cottage by the riverbed. I had made sure it was far away from the pack house, as I promised Nora I would keep her safe and away from prying eyes. As I stood there, lost in my thoughts, my mind wandered back to just a few minutes ago when Nora had come to me. She looked so beautiful, just as I remembered her.
