The Vision

Chapter 1

Having the gift of being a seer can be a curse or a blessing, each time I have one I have to decide if I can let the people involved know or just sit back and let the events unfold. When my interference can change something for the better and stop a disaster from happening, I then have to decide how much I reveal as that can have a massive impact on events.

My gift has served me well throughout my years as Queen, but equally, there have been some things even with my visions that I have been unable to prevent. It is hard having to see things happening through a vision, not being able to stop it and seeing it, then happen in front of my eyes or hearing of the heartbreak after.

Sometimes, it is good so that I can reassure the people involved that they are on the right path and they have done the right thing. Like with Christian’s daughter, I saw her as a powerful woman who may have to go through a few hard times but she would end up happy after shaking up the Lycan kingdoms, and along the way she would inspire so many other women and touch their lives in a positive way.

When Jerry, Christian’s father, came to all of the leaders and ex leaders, proposing that a council of elders was formed, I gave him my full support. The other leaders knowing my gift as a seer gave good weight to my words and decided if I was so sure this was the way forward they were going to build bonds and put any lingering issues from the past to bed.

I spoke to Jerry after that and told him that his granddaughter Rayne would become an amazing woman and that their family had made the right decisions. Elysium was not ready for the first hybrid right now. We needed to pave the way for our kind to be more accepting of other races and get them integrating and creating bonds with each other. Many kingdoms and their future mates depended on this, so no one would need to reject their mate like poor Christian and Ruby did. I was glad that I could give them the comfort of knowing they did the right thing for her and the world as a whole. I may have mentioned that they would get the chance to be a close family once she had grown and done what she needed to do.

Sienna has been the one I have most trouble with and until I see her safe and grown I know she will haunt me wondering if there is any way I can help her not to go through so much pain in her life. She is one special girl, and the only way for her to become who she was meant to be was to go through the pain.

If there was anything I could do for her I would have been shown more so I could intervene but I haven’t even been shown her rank or family, so I will have to keep praying that one day I will be given more through my visions and be able to spare her some of the pain.

My most recent vision is one that affects my entire family and is going to devastate my poor daughter and her beloved. I am sure Morgana isn’t even aware that she is pregnant yet, let alone with twins. I hate that I have to break this wonderful news to her and then break her heart and my own.

So, with a heavy heart, I make my way to my daughter and son in law to tell them what I can and offer comfort in any way I can. I need her to understand that this has to happen no matter how much it hurts or things will be much worse for my future granddaughter.

“Morgana, Theon, I have had a vision and I need to talk with you both alone” I say grimly as they follow me into my old office which is now my daughters since she took over from me as queen of the witches.

“Mum you are starting to worry me. Have you seen something happen to Theon and I” my daughter says, concerned.

“It is not directly about you, but it will greatly impact your lives. I have good news and bad to tell you and remember if I didn’t need to I would never want any of this to happen” I say sadly as they both look more concerned about what I am about to say.

“There is no easy way to tell you this, but you are pregnant and will only be able to keep one of your twins with you, which is the boy. This needs to be kept from everyone, including your children, as anyone other than us three, and a select few others, knowing about it will cause her to have an awful life. The only other people who can know are King Leopold and Queen Valentina, along with a human couple that lives in their kingdom who will bring Liana up as their own daughter” I explain.

“No, no this can not be true, why can we not protect our daughter if she is with us there must be away, I can not give up one of my babies” Morgana says distraught as Theon tries to comfort her and hold his own emotions in.

“I have thought of many ways to keep her here, and every vision I have about them, he still gets his hands on our princess. This is the only way to keep her safe and fulfil her destiny, As her first children will also be twins, a boy and a girl and they will be the most powerful witch and Vampire rulers ever seen” o try and explain, I can understand how they feel, as I have seen the numerous ways in which that man gets his hands on our girl, and he is an evil sick person who will cause her so much pain and force her to do terrible things.

“Who is after our daughter? If we kill him now, it will stop any of it from happening” Theon says, holding on to hope.

“Malachi, and he is getting help from someone powerful who is concealing him from me. There are about to be many powerful women, with special beasts and strength we have not seen since long ago on Earth. They are just starting their painful journeys and even I don’t know which of them will be the one to help us when the time comes” I tell them trying to give them hope that one day we will be able to stop the man tearing our family apart, even if it will not be for almost two decades, all I know is that the little one growing inside her mother will be an adult before we can stop him.

“No that can’t be, not Malachi. He has always been such a sweet boy, and he has barely any power” Morgana states in denial.

“He is not the Malachi you once knew. That boy followed you around and fell in love with you because you protected him and never judged him on his power. When you mated to Theon, he became unhinged. He could not cope with the fact that you were not his beloved and his jealousy has taken him on a dark path. Now he can not have the object of his obsession he will move his interest on to Liana, as she will be as beautiful and powerful as you, darling girl. He will not wait until she is of age before taking her as his own. If I could have stopped him before he was in the wind I would have, but this is the only way he can not get her and believe me in my visions we have had this conversation several times, and nothing you suggest will help. It was only when you accepted the inevitable that I saw a beautiful life for her” I explain sadly as they try and come to terms with what I said.

“If this is the only way to protect our princess we have to do it my love, I will not have my daughter suffer in that man’s hands just so we can hold on to her for a short while and never get her back again. At least this way, once she is grown, we can have her back in our lives, and she will be happy. Our pain is a small price to pay for her happiness and safety” Theon says devastated as he holds my daughter tightly in his arms as if he is afraid to let her go.

Morgana finally agrees to the plan, and we make plans for keeping this away from everyone. At least with her having twins, we will still have a child to show the people and help make it more believable that she was only carrying one child. It will help keep people from being suspicious.

Everyone in our kingdom also knows that I trained in midwifery, I hadn’t understood at the time why it was so important for me to do that, but now I know why I was given that vision years ago. No one will bat an eye at me doing my daughters scans and pregnancy care, or being the one who helps her birth her child as I have helped many women since I have trained and been compelled to help them.

I just have to hope that all of this is enough and that if we need to do more, then I will be shown the way to go.
