Damian’s POV I stayed at my study, looking through some papers that had been bothering me as the pain in my chest got worse by the minute. I thought back on how that had happened and immediately recoiled in my chaos at the horror of what might happen if I had not been capable of tearing through those people. “I see you’re still confused on how to go about your own life with the wound in your chest,” a voice said in thin air as I sighed while leaning against my chair. “You could show up and heal me,” I said. “And do your job for you?” “What do you mean?” He materialized before me in a haze of dark shadows. I could see nothing but shadows before me and it was eerie to witness. “You’re a wolf,” he laughed. “You say I should heal you, but why?” “Look at me. I have a gaping hole in my
