Bella’s POV
I immediately jumped to my feet in anger.
What the hell was he thinking bringing me back to this place? This wasn’t my home. I was done being here. I needed to get out of here and get to a place where I could be at peace and be on my own.
I didn’t want to be in any pack now. I was going to leave and be a rogue if possible.
“I have to go,” I said as he closed the gap between us and held me to stay.
“Wait!”
“What?”
“You can’t just get up and leave. You’re tired and injured. At least heal.”
“I won’t heal here. I need to be out of here. Maybe out there trying to get myself back. I was doing so great on my own before you showed up.”
“What?!” He laughed. “You were about to be road kill when I saw you in the icy forest. What were you doing? Playing with the snow men?”
