Avery's POV After we finish eating, I take Daisy outside to the garden area. It's a peaceful and beautiful spot with flowers, a bench, and even a small pond. She sits beside me and I feel my hear beating erratically. "So, what did you want to talk about?" She asks, getting straight to the point.  Come on, Avery. You can do this. My hands are disgustingly sweaty and I feel the dampness on my forehead. It's incredible how one woman can make a strong alpha like me feel nervous.  "I don't want to keep any secrets from you." I start off saying. "Okay...." She says, obviously confused and waiting for me to continue. "Do you believe in soulmates?" She shifts, looking uncomfortable at the question. "I use to, until... " She stops herself, not wanting to tell me what she's thinking about. I feel hurt, but know that it will take time for her to open up to me.  "Why do you ask?"  "I ask, because I believe in it. I believe in love at first sight, and I know for certain that you are my soulmate."  She's quiet. Then starts laughing, bruising my ego. Why is she laughing in my face? "What's so funny?"  "You don't even know me! How can you say we are meant to be together? That's ridiculous!" My wolf whimpers at her response, and I find the courage to continue my explanation. "Do you know anything about werewolves?" She looks at me, still giggling. "They're mythical beings that turn into wolves on full moons."  "Not quite. Werewolves can shift whenever they want to, not just during full moons. They also have a mate that the moon goddess blesses them with. You are mine." "Hold on. You're trying to tell me that you're a werewolf? How stupid do you think I am?" She asks, suddenly filled with anger.  "I can prove it." I say, as I take my shirt off. I notice her lust filled eyes and I smirk at her with a wink. "Please don't scream. I promise I will never hurt you. Okay?" She simply nods my head, clearly intrigued. I continue removing my clothes until I'm only in my boxers. I get down on all fours and my bones begin cracking. I open my eyes and am in complete wolf form.  Daisy's POV I feel insulted that he thinks I would believe such nonsense. However, when he takes his shirt off, I can't look away. I am drawn to him and feel myself getting aroused. He has a toned six pack, those piercing gray eyes, light brown hair tossed messy on his head, and those delicious looking lips. I want to feel them all over my body. What the hell is wrong with me. I don't even know the guy. I cringe as I hear the sound of cracking bones. I  must be imagining this. Standing where Avery was, is now a huge, black wolf. I should be frightened, screaming, and running away.  However, I'm not scared at all. I actually want to pet him. Seriously, what is wrong with me? I want to pet a dangerous animal that can tear me apart. "Avery?" I call out to the wolf. It slowly approaches me and I stick my hand out to touch him. He lays at my feet and I stroke the soft fur. I feel tingles as I touch him and not in a bad way. He stays like this for a few more minutes before shifting back to his human form. He's completely naked and I turn around once his eyes meet mine. He totally caught me checking him out. How embarrassing.  "So, what's on your mind?" I turn towards him and think about how to answer that question. How do I feel? "Umm.. I'm surprised for one thing. I always thought werewolves were make believe, alone with vampires and witches. Are those also real?" He chuckles, and my god is it sexy.  "Yes, those are real as well."  "Wow! This is a lot to take in." He nods his head. "I understand, but like I said before, I don't want to keep any secrets from you."  Is this guy for real? This all seems like a fantasy.  "You said I'm your soulmate? I'm not a wolf though... " "Yes. The moon goddess surely blessed me a sassy, beautiful woman. She doesn't care what species you are. A wolf could be mated a vampire, witch, wolf, or human." My face is burning from the compliment. He has such a way with words. Way too perfect to be real.  "Interesting. Is that why I feel so drawn to you?" This time, he's the one to blush. "You feel it too?" He asks and I nod in response.  "Can we get food and enlighten me with everything about wolves?"  He stands and offers me his hand, which I gladly take. Yes, I know we just ate breakfast, but this baby is still hungry for a snack.  As I munch away on cookies and apples, Avery tells me literally everything. Apparently all these people are called a pack and this is a packhouse where they are reside. His friend that I met, Kevin, is a beta and his other friend is third in command. The second floor of the house is for omegas, third is for the warriors, fourth is for beta and third, and lastly, the top is for the aloha and luna. Luna. Apparently, that's me? If I accept him of course. He said I could reject him, but I don't think I would do that to be honest. Marking sounds a little creepy though. It involves him biting me with his canines during s*x, or mating as they say.  "Does your pack know I'm human? Wouldn't they rather have a wolf as their luna?"He shoots me an upsetting expression,"Don't ever say that! They know you are human and would make a wonderful luna. I wouldn't want anyone else. You're perfect."  "What about my baby? Would they accept him or her into the pack even though it's not yours?"
