Briar pov
“Eric what the hell?” Briar shouted at her brother.
“He pulled first!” Eric shouted his eyes not strayed from Axel. Axel wasn’t backing down so Briar had to step in,
“Stop if you two.” She walked in between them and suddenly the two men lowered their weapons. The staring contest however, continued.
“What are you doing here Eric?” Briar asked her brother in hopes to ease the tension. Eric briefly looked her way before looking back at Axel,
“I saw you at the house earlier before taking off. I knew this is where you would be.” Briar nodded,
“Yeah I had to come and see mom.” The three of them stood in awkward silence for a moment before she broke it again.
“All right let’s go get some breakfast.”
“Joe’s?” Her brother asked.
“Yeah, let me just say good bye to mom real quick.” Axel gave her a kiss on the forehead.
“I will let you say goodbye alone.” Axel stalked off and she watched him start his bike.
“I don’t know what you see in him,” his brother murmured and she looked at her brother.
“He cares about me, just me and not what I can do for him.” Her brother throughly put in his place turned and walked away. Briar didn’t know if he was headed to the diner and she didn’t care. She knelt down by her mother’s headstone and said her goodbye’s.
“I don’t know when I will be back to see you momma, just know that I love you.” Briar took a minute to collect herself and went back to her car. She returned and didn’t see any vehicles next to her own. Briar got into her car and drove to the diner by herself.
When she arrived her brother and Axel were staring each other down in her favorite booth. It had her initials carved into it at one point. Briar didn’t make it two steps before she heard a scream that stopped all noise in the background.
“Oh my Briar!” The voice of Lucy called out to her like an old familiar blanket and she turned to find the elderly woman. Lucy came up and embraced Briar with no warning. The woman’s embraced comforted her in a way that no one had been able to since her mother had since before her death. “Oh sweet heart we missed you!” Briar tried to fight back tears, but a few slipped out and she hugged the elderly women in a tight hug.
“Hey Ms. Lucy,” Briar whispered unable to say anything else.
“Aww none of that dear,” Lucy pulled back and looked her up and down with a smile. “Sit down and old Lucy will bring you out your breakfast special.” Briar nodded and walked over to the booth that held Axel and her brother. She looked at both of the men’s faces that had a look of softness in them.
Briar slid into the seat next to Axel and she didn’t miss the look of happiness that briefly flickered across his face before disappeared.
“Your usual deputy?” Lucy asked her brother who nodded.
“Yes ma’am,” her brother responded.
“What can I get you handsome?” Lucy asked Axel.
“The loaded breakfast please ma’am,” Axel responded before handing Lucy the menu. The three of them sat in awkward silence for a moment before Eric finally spoke.
“So are you guys going to go see dad after breakfast or are you going to go check into the hotel first?” Her brother asked as they were waiting on the food. Briar looked to Axel who just sat looking at her with a clear expression on her face. It was clear he would follow her lead. It was a good feeling.
“No Eric, I just came to see mom and mom alone. I have no desire to see that man,” she responded in a firm voice. Axel put his hand on her back in a comforting motion and she leaned into his touch. There was silence for a moment before Eric spoke again,
“When will you be leaving?”
“After breakfast, I did what I came to do.” Briar finally looked at her brother who simply nodded and shook the food was ordered.
Axel pov
He looked at his sweetness sleeping in the dingy hotel room they stopped in after leaving her hometown at his insistence. Briar insisted she could drive and he let her until the next hotel. It was an hour outside of her hometown and Briar immediately went to the bed and crashed after taking off her jeans. Axel couldn’t help but smile.
Axel didn’t know if it was the emotional roller coaster she had been on or the physical, but his woman was exhausted.
Axel quickly texted Grim updating him on the situation before he took a quick shower. Axel knew that Grim would tell Nicole who was bound to worry by now about Briar.
When he got out of the shower he dried off and laid down next to his woman. He pulled her close to his naked body and fell asleep content.
…
Waking up he felt aroused and he knew it was because his sweetness was rubbing her thick ass on his d**k.
“You trying to drive me insane sweetness?” He whispered in her ear causing her to giggle.
“No, I just want you,” she responded and any foreplay just went out the window. Axel reached down, slid her underwear out of the way, and shifted his hips. His d**k aligned with her center and god Briar was dripping for him.
“Sweetness! How long have you been up and dying for me?”
“Long enough, give it to me,” she begged and he delivered. Axel slid into his woman feeling her stretch around him and he swore he died and went to heaven. It was glorious. Then it went up a notch when Briar turned around and kissed him. Axel couldn’t hold back and started to thrust in and out of her. Briar couldn’t hold back her moans in his ear.
It was wild and frantic f*****g.
“Harder Axel!” She chanted and he flipped her tiny body over and f****d her harder. Then when he whispered how good she looked riding his c**k, Briar came. He followed shortly behind in an intense orgasm.
“God I love you sweetness,” he told her as he wrapped her in his arms. “I know you don’t love me back, but I have never felt this way about any woman before.” Briar was still for a few minutes before responding,
“I think I’m falling for you Axel, I’m not there yet, and this is different, it also scares me.” Axel turned Briar to face him and looked deep into her eyes that reflected apprehension,
“Sweetness that makes me so happy to hear.”
“Really?” She asked surprised. He nodded and showed her how happy he was to hear his woman was falling in love with him.
