His Redemption

Chapter 1: Betrayal

Valentino Romano's POV

"How could you do this to us?" I asked my step-father in shock. He smirked at me and my mom as he laid his feet over his desk. Me and my mom were on our knees looking up at this cunning man who I accepted as my father. He laughed evilly giving us a disgusted look. "You really think I loved you as my son?" He spat.

"Leo, how could you?, I thought you loved me and my son but-", "Shut up b***h" my step-fath-, I mean Leo said cutting of my mom in a bored way. I gritted my teeth in anger. 'How dare he speak to my mom like that', I thought to myself.

"You think I love you?" he hissed and laughed menacingly showing us his yellow ugly teeth. "You are just a w***e to me, I only used you to get your property. I only wanted you for your money but I also got your body along with it" He smirked. 

I fisted my hands and stood up "You f*****g bastard" I spat as I went towards him to punch him but he quickly stood up and punched me on my jaw. I fell back as I groaned in pain. "VALENTINO" my mother shouted as she crawled towards me sobbing on my chest, carressing my head. I felt so weak and useless. I am a 22 year old man and I couldn't even defend my own mother. I felt ashamed of myself. I need to protect my mother from this bastard.

"So weak for a man, thank god you are not my biological son, my son is a better man than you will ever be" he said in a bored way. My mom gasped and looked at Leo with wide eyes. "Y-you have a s-son?" she asked in shock. He scoffed and bent down to reach our level "You think I was faithful to you?, of course I have a son and a wife as well" he said smirking. My mom looked at him in tears. 

I looked at him in pure anger but I felt so weak. I hugged my mother as she sobbed in my chest. I glared at the man I once called my father as he just looked at me in disgust. "Now it's time to get rid of these filths" he said to one of his men who was standing next to him. My eyes widened as one of the men grabbed my mom and pulled her out of my arms. She screamed for me as I shouted for her. 

"LEAVE MY MOM YOU BASTARD, LEAVE HER NOW" I shouted but the bastard ignored me. "VALENTINO" my mom cried as she screamed for me. I felt so powerless as tears swelled in my eyes. The men dragged us outside in the darkness. Leo strode towards my mother and slapped her across the face. "YOU f*****g PIECE OF s**t, GET YOUR HANDS OFF MY MOTHER" I shouted. I tried to reach my mom but the men had me in a tight hold. I trashed around shouting for him to get away from my mother. 

"Aww is wittle baby boy crying for his mommy" Leo said in a teasing way. I glared at him in anger and  grit my teeth. What he did next made my heart freeze to death. He took out his revolver and pointed it to my mom. I breathed heavily as my mother watched me in tears. She mouthed 'I Love You' to me as tears flowed out of my eyes. 

I slowly got out of my trance and started to trash around "NO, PLEASE PLEASE DON'T, PLEASEE, KILL ME BUT LEAVE MY MOTHER PLEASE" I begged and shouted but he only smirked at me. "You know lisa, If you didn't try to eavsedrop over my conversation on the phone this wouldn't have happened" he said in his sickly voice as he smiled at her evilly. "You will reget this Leo, YOU WILL REGRET THIS" my mother shouted in hurt and anger. He slapped her across the face again making me shout for him to stop.

He turned around to face me and gave me one of his ugly smirks making me glare at him with red watery eyes. He turned back to my mother and placed the revolver on her forehead. My mother closed her eyes in fear as I screamed for him to stop and then- 

BANG!.

My body went limp as I went in shock. There laid my mother's dead body with a bullet in her forehead. Tears rolled down my face as I heard him laugh like a pathetic psycho. Something awakened in me as I stared at my mother's lifeless body. Rage filled my body as I glared at the man in front of me. My blood boiled when he kicked my mother's lifeless body to the side. 

"AGGGHHHHH" I screamed in pain, hurt and rage as I pushed all the men off me. Leo looked at me in shock as he stumbled a bit. One of the men grabbed me from behind but I broke his arm bending it with force as he screamed in pain. I punched kicked and fought each man who was in my way. Before Leo could shoot at me, I ran towards the gates and gave my mother a last glance and vowed to take revenge. 

I ran as fast as I could as I heard footsteps behind me. I hid behind a wall as I saw the dark figures run past me. I breathed heavily leaning against the wall in tears. My mother's life less body flashed in front of my face making me punch the wall in anger. I cried silently in anger as I couldn't save her from that evil bastard that I once called my father.

It was now morning as the sunlight hit my face. I squinted my eyes placing my hands in front of my face to block the sunlight. I looked around and realized I fell asleep in the same place I hid myself. I slowly got up and walked into a busy area. I was homeless, jobless and poor. I had nowhere to go and no one to go to. I had no money, no food, nothing. I sat down in a corner on the street as people went past getting on with their day. 

I tried to beg for food and money but I only got disgusted looks in return. My stomach growled in hunger as I hadn't eaten since yesterday's incident. Even thinking about what happened last night made my blood boil. My clothes were ripped and I had a few cuts from the fight I had with the men back there. I leaned back on the wall as I stared at the sky with tears. "I miss you mom" I whispered. 

2 weeks I was on the streets. I would take food out from the bins that people would throw away. I would eat left overs that people threw on the floor. I was smelly and dirty as I haven't had a shower for 2 weeks. I would sit there and beg for someone to show mercy but everyone would ignore. I prayed to god to send help but as time passed I slowly started to lose hope in God as well.

but little did he know his prayers were answered ............
