853 Words
Marigold Fawn's POV "So how was your day with the girls?" he asked me. "Good" I muttered not giving him any more details. "Won't you ask about my day?" he asked. "No" I said coldly as I look out of the window. The car ride was now silent and I sighed turning to look at him. "Um, T-thank you for um..letting me see my friends" I said struggling to say thanks. He smiled "Your most welcome my love, anything to make my little dove happy" he said with his deep voice which made me roll my eyes at the nickname he has given me. 'Dove, like seriously?' I thought to myself.  After a few minutes he suddenly stopped near a busy street. I looked at him in confusion "Um why have you stopped?" I asked him. "Stay here my dove" he said ignoring my question. He got out of the car and gave me a look which said 'don't you dare try to escape me, I'll always catch you'. I then saw him walk towards some homeless people. For a minute I felt fear for those people thinking he may harm these innocents but he shocked me when they all greeted him with a smile. I chocked on my spit, mouth hung opened, eyes wide. A homeless old woman hugged him while he hugged her back. 'What the-'. He then gave money to all these homeless people who have now surrounded him. They all bowed to him in respect smiling in happiness. He spoke to them as if they were all his friends. My heart filled with warmth seeing his actions towards these people. I didn't expect him to do that, in fact I didn't expect these homeless people to even hug him and treat him like their own son.   I opened the door and got out of the car walking towards him and the homeless. Feeling my presence he turned around and gave me a look. "I told you not to get out of the car" he said but with a soft tone. "Who is this son?" a homeless old woman said. "My wife" he said with proudness. The woman walked towards me and gave me a hug which shocked me. I hugged her back, she then moved back a bit and held my hands. "You must be his little dove" she said which made me even more shocked but I tried not to show it on my face.  "He has spoken so much about you, finally he has found his true love, may god bless you both" she said. I stood there so confused. "My dear, you are so lucky to have a kind hearted handsome man like him, he is our saviour" an old man said. "No, I am lucky to have her as my wife" the devil said looking at me with love?. "W-what do you mean by saviour?" I asked the old man in confusion. "This man would come to us one in a while offering us food and money. He would sit and talk with us. We would all share our stories with each other, this man is our hero" another old man said.  I look at the devil dumbfounded while he gave a small smile to the old man. I gave the man a fake smile. "You are so beautiful, you both make an amazing couple, your kids would be gorgeous" the old woman said making me flush in embarrassment. Valentino smirked at me while I give him a quick glare. "We have to get going Martha, I'll be back soon" he said hugging the old woman who was called Martha. "It was nice to meet you all" I said with a real smile while they all smiled at me back, Martha giving me a last hug.  He held my waist making me shiver as we both walked to the car. He opened the car door for me and I got in this time saying a small thanks to which he only smiled. When he sat in the car I just stared at him. "You can take a picture you know my love, it will last longer" he said playfully. I shook my head and looked down to my hands. "Y-you help the homeless?, I mean why?, I mean um, you are so ruthless so it was kind of shocking to see you do that" I said nervously.  He chuckled with his deep husky voice. "I was once like them my little dove and then god sent me an angel in the form of you. You are the reason why I help the homeless. I maybe ruthless, merciless and arrogant but I do have a heart, you made me realize I have one" he said with an unknown emotion. For the first time I gave him a smile to which he looked shocked but smiled back. I looked out of the window thinking about what just happened. It was shocking seeing a new side of him. 'Should I really give this relationship a chance?, is it worth it?, is he worth it?' I though to myself.
