(Alexander's POV)

This woman is very different to the others, that have come to interview for the position, a little bolder and definitely doesn't scare easily. She stood up for herself, very well. My little Eden liked her enough to smile and laugh, she hasn't done a lot of that with the others, we'll see how Aaron reacts.

"Babe, why are you so quiet, now with the kids under control, we could go enjoy the solitude in your room."

Suzette wasn't my mate but my wolf liked her as a play thing, but just now his attention fell on Mrs. Homes, as she spoke, I couldn't look at her for a minute, he was making me feel strange.

"Babe!"

"Suzette, I have a lot of work to do, and not a lot of time so..."

"Then we can have some fun right here."

She hopped on my desk and pulled up her skirt, showing me she wasn't wearing underwear, and that definitely, got my mind away from Mrs. Homes completely.

(Liz's POV)

Ben was showing me all of the house, it was big, seven bedrooms, four of those shared a bathroom and only three had their own, which was Mr. Grant and the room I was going to be sleeping in. the other they used it for guest and such, they had a theater room, for video games and movies, a game room mostly for the kids, more like an indoor play ground, then dinning room which could fit a whole pack, and then the kitchen which was huge. the fridge was packed with snacks and things, I noticed like a lot of super healthy stuff, vegatables, fruits and whole juice and milk.

"No, Ice cream, no chips, no junk food of any kind?"

"Nope and I wouldn't push it if I were you."

"Poor kids never know what a sugar rush is."

Ben laughed at me and lead me to the back yard, which was also huge, and a second play ground and a pool. there were places to have a barbcue a porch swing and one of those big chairs that the rich people had to bathe in the sun.

"Hey, Ben why can't I talk about Mr.Grants wife I mean, she was sitting right next to him?"

"Suzette, is not his wife or his mate, she wants to be, but it's just not going to happen, Shannon wasn't his mate either, but he loved her, she died two years ago, Eden was just born, and something went wrong after her birth and she died, he's still hurt but an alpha needs a partner."

"Even if she's just a bed warmer?"

"Or he finally finds his mate."

"Got it, well, I should go relieve Jon and start right?"

"You'll meet Aaron, after he gets back from school."

"Oh, how old are they, Eden is two I'm guessing and Aaron?"

"He's six."

"Wow, they really had them spread apart."

"Eden was a surprise actually, when they found out she was pregnant a second time."

"Is that bad?"

"Not if you're a werewolf, yes, if you're human and carrying a werewolves baby."

"Oh, okay, got it."

He lead me back to inside the house and to the game room. When Jon came running toward us.

"Guys help me find the little twerp, she hid somewhere and now I can't find her."

"Okay don't panic, we'll find her."

I looked around and suddenly saw movement in the ball pit in the corner, the smell of the plastic, and his own panic caused him not to be able to smell her. Slowly I went and sat next to the ball pit, they watched me carefully.

"I wonder where Eden could possibly be?" I called out loud. She giggled and wiggled. The guys saw and Jon walked closer.

"Yeah, where do you suppose she went?" he bent down and pulled her up from the ball pit and she squealed with delight.

"We found you!' I said and she laughed even more, we played a while more, then Ben called to me as the bus for Aaron came by the house, we waited for him just to get to the stairs.

"Aaron you're back, how was school?"

"Fine, who is that?"

"Hi, I'm Liz I guess you're knew nanny, nice to meet you Aaron."

He sat there and stared not taking the hand I held out and I pulled it back, he then walked right past me.

"That's what Alex is worried about, both the kids have been really withdrawn and with Aaron, he's been really violent lately."

"Not to sound prejedues but isn't that normal for werewolves?"

"Normal situations yes, when we're threatened or our families, or our packs, but he's angry at everything he won't even talk to Alex and they use to be very close, now a days the poor kid spends his time locked up in his room or fighting in school."

"Hmm, sounds like I should be running the other way."

"Give them a chance, she might not of' been his mate but she filled a big part of Alex's life, and the kids they miss their mother."

I sighed and nodded and he finished explaining what all else I was going to do.

Ben told me not to worry about dinner tonight, and I left at 7:00 when I got to the house Beth was just getting ready for her shift.

"Hey, so how'd it go, and why do you smell like dog."

I smell my jacket and I didn't smell anything, but I guess witches can sense or smell werewolves.

"The job was for an Alpha, for his kids."

"Really who?"

"I can't say Beth, I signed a bunch of papers saying I can't say who I work for."

"Well, if it's Alexander Grant, be careful that dog has a really testy temper,  he's fired that last four nannies he's had."

"Jeez four nannies in two years, that's crazy."

"So what's going on?"

"I have three days to get everything solved or I lose the job."

"I was actually looking into getting an other room mate, we have the room, but sense you're moving out I guess it'll be me and him."

"Him, it's a guy?"

"Yeah, he's a witch nurse that just started in the hospital, he doesn't have a coven, most males don't but anyway, he'll be here helping me with the rent so no biggie."

"and keeping you nice and warm during the night?" I said teasingly, she pushed me playfully.

"Hey, but honestly be careful, werewolves are really possessive with those under their protection, and when it comes to women definitely."

"I'll be careful but, he has his own bone and flesh kinda toy to keep him away from me."

She hugged me and left for her shift and I started packing for my move. I didn't have much, but the little I did have fit in four boxes, I put them into my car and was ready for tomorrow. I set my alarm for five in the morning, and went to bed.

(dream)

"Please, not my Daddy!"

"Baby get back!"

"No, not my daddy!"

"Let go of me!"

"Lizzy, stop baby!"

"Daddy!"

(Wake)

I bolted up ward and was breathing heavy, I haven't had that nightmare for years. Why was it back, and the pain in my chest felt like something was trying to tear it's way out of me. I got up and walked to the bathroom, splashed water on my face and back of my neck. I looked at the time and saw it was 4:30 in the morning. I got dressed and headed out instead of going back to sleep for the hour.

I got in my car and it didn't want to start, I was frustrated and agitated, but I took a deep breath and tried again.It started, I put it in reverse, then into drive, and I was gone. It was doing this jerking thing, all the way there.Until I reached the turn and it started to lose speed I got on the side of the road, and it died.

"Great, my first day on the job, and I'm going to be late." I checked my phone there was no service right at this point, I breathed deeply and stepped out, it was a nice morning so I decided to walk the rest of the way. I got my purse and my pepper spray, locked my car and started to walk up the road.

For some reason something was telling me to get back in the car, but I ignored it and kept walking. Then a very cold feeling came over my body, like pure fear and alarm. I looked around me, but saw nothing. There was something out there, I quickly got my pepper spray, and walked faster. Suddenly it was completely still there were no birds, no forest sounds, nothing. I looked at my phone I had some service I dialed Ben's number.

"Hello?'

"Ben it me, I car broke down, but I think there is something or someone out here..." I said with my voice as calm as I could, when I felt something knock my feet out from under me, and then drag me. I screamed once, but then shouted and fought to get who ever off, when I looked it was a wolf.

"Liz!?"

"Wolf!" I called out to the phone that was knocked away from me, I turned and kicked it with my boots.

It turned to look at me and I sprayed it, roared in pain, but let me go and I got up and ran. I would never be able to out run it, but it gave Ben and Jon to get here. All too soon I felt claws swipe and a burning feeling went up my leg and I was on the ground again. Soon it closed it's mouth around my leg and I screamed in pain, as I grabbed a stone and hit it hard on the face it let go, and didn't have the chance to latch on again, two wolves came out of no where and tackled the other.

"Liz, come on."

"Jon?"I asked as he picked me up and put me in the jeep, and drove off.

He then picked me up and took me inside to the basement.

"Sorry Liz I got to  do this." he said ripping my jeans leg and saw how bad it was, then grabbed something and I braced myself, the liquad burned bad. I gritted my teeth and fought not to scream. Soon Mr. Grant came down and asked what happened, Jon explained as he wrapped my leg.

The room started to get blurry and my eyes were heavy, pretty soon I was out.

(Alexander POV)

I could smell blood from my room, I quickly got up and got dressed, and walked toward the smell. To find Jon bandaging Liz's leg, who was bitten and scratched really bad. My wolf wanted to run out and find the wolf a that did this to her, I controlled him, but just barely. I walked away and found Marie and Ben.

"We caught it, it was a rouge, we have no idea why he attacked Liz."

"Where is he?" I growled,

They lead me to the dungeon we had, and there was the wolf, chained to the wall.

"Why did you attack the human that's under my care?"

He laughed and looked at me.

"You wolves have been hanging around humans so much, you can't smell, your own kind anymore, that she wolf walking around not mated and in heat." He laughed again.

"And you're so far gone, your own nose deceives you."

"Her blood, is so sweet, I could only imagine the rest of her." he seemed to purr at the thought of Liz, suddenly my wolf took over and broke the rouge' s neck. Marsha and Ben stared at me not understanding what they just saw. I was in control again and just walked away. I went up to the room washed my hands and woke up Suzette, shoving myself all the way into her, to forget what I was feeling.

(Liz's POV)

When I woke up, I was in a room my boxes were set on one side of the bed, I sat up and winced at the feeling in my leg, I looked and it was bandaged up, I guess it wasn't a nightmare after all.

I got to my feet and walked to my bathroom.to my surprise there was a towel and clothes already in bathroom, I jumped into the shower and took the bandages off the bite wasn't as bad as I thought, all you could see was the teeth marks. I finished up and got dressed, then went to my room and took some pain killers for the remaining pain.

I checked the time little Aaron would already be gone to school, so I went to check Eden, who was still sleeping soundly. I went to the kitchen to see if I could be of any help there, and of course there was the cook was done with making breakfast and was putting things away.

"Good morning."

"Good morning, Liz, Ben told me you'd be taking it easy today."

"Nope, I'm here to help, what can I do?"

We both did quick work of cleaning the kitchen, then I went to fix up Aaron's bed, which was strange it was wet, and smelled like pee. I  pulled off the blankets and sheets, and headed to the laundry room.

"Elizabeth!" I froze more because I was use to being in trouble when they said my full name, but when I turned I saw Mr. Grant coming toward me.

I looked around but just put the sheets on my side.

"Yes, sir?"

"You were attacked this morning, you should rest for now."

"No, need I'm feeling fine, I was barely grazed, nothing painkillers can't cure."

He gave me a look, but didn't push further.Then nodded and walked away. I continued my work and took the blankets and sheets to the laundry room. Then went and pulled new blankets and sheets.
