FOREWORD
Everything was all fine and normal for the boyish high school student, Roma Cassandra Martinez. Until one day, her parents told her that they've engaged her into an arranged marriage.
She can't believe what her parents have done that made her feel frustrated and disappointed, especially they informed her exactly her birthday.
Truth to be told, relationship and marriage weren't Roma's thing. The heck, even having a suitor never crossed her mind.
For her, love is just something that comes and goes and shouldn't be prioritize in life.
Until she knew that she needs to marry this man whom she never know in order to save her parents from their million-worth debt.
Roma was not even your typical damsel-in-distress kind of girl. She has an exceptional strength that can protect and save herself in any danger that comes to her.
She never relies in anyone else even how worse her situation is.
And calling for a man's help is one thing that she would never do even if she’s in a life-and-death situation. Her pride was too important for her to do that.
But for the sake of her family, she will be forced to agree to that engagement –that was a pretty stupid idea for her.
Meanwhile, there's Rendel Caden Morgenstern, a freshman Chemical Engineering student at University of the Philippines, and the man who is Roma's soon-to-be husband.
Caden was a German-born citizen, raised in Philippines. He belongs to the European noble clan, Morgenstern of Germany.
And as a German Count's grandson, and a potential heir, he must live according to the principles of his clan – being a ‘perfect’ man.
On the other hand, Caden's father, Michael, never wanted him to succeed the ill-fate of being a Count Morgenstern. So in order to save his son, he and his wife decided to get Caden into an arranged marriage with a commoner girl.
And that girl they have chosen was Roma.
Selfish move may it seems but Michael used her family's million debt so they will be left no choice and just agree with Roma and Caden's engagement, because it's the only way that he can see.
Roma and Caden's first meeting wasn't really that good, knowing that they didn't even know each other. For them, being together was a curse. They didn't even like their first impressions to one another.
So, how this engagement between them would work?
The two decided to have a secret agreement stating that Roma should help Caden to win the heart of his childhood friend and long-time crush, Kiara.
They agreed that if they succeed, Caden would let Roma and her family go. And they will be free from each other.
But how would they succeed if they're forced to live together under the same roof?
Will their plan could be easier to work, or it's the other way around?
