It was pouring rain outside; the booming thunder synched fear with every strike of lightning that illuminated the sky. My friends Kira, Gemma, and I were having a sleepover at my house for my 16th Birthday. “LINDSAY” Gemma yelled from across the room, “LINDSAY ROSE” Kira screamed in excitement. I looked down the hallway leading to the foyer as I stared at the two of them as though they belonged in a psych ward. “Happy Birthday Lindz!” they yelled in unison. A group hug was issued before I could even sit back down, the weight of their bodies pulling me to the ground. “Is this really necessary?” I said with a bit of laughter. Gemma nor Kira said anything, the violent assult that was meant to be a group hug continued for what seemed like forever until they finally decided to set my body free.
After a few hours we all began to settle doen and decided to watch a movie. “I am bored!” Kira said with a pouting look on her face. Really Kira, really? I thought to myself. “We aren’t even six minutes into the movie Kira and you’re already complaining?” Gemma scoffed so hard I almost found it funny, “I am not conplaining!” Kira’s voice sounded almost identical to a whining child. “Enough argueing” I said while aiming my glare of annoyance particularly at a pissy Kira who was now looking for a new movie to fit her liking.
After an hour or two into the new movie acceptable to Lady Kiras standards..suddenly the lights began to flicker followed by an ear shattering crash of thunder that left me and Kira both screeching like banshees. “Babies…” Gemma says while fighting to hold back a laugh that was desperate to ignite. I glanced down at my phone to check the time to see that it was almost coming upon 3 AM.
