I still can’t get it out of my head, what happened that night six years ago. I told them it was a horrible idea, that the thought of it shook me to the core. But, of course they didnt listen. I assume you want to know what I am talking about right? Well this is my story about that night, the story about the game of One Man Hide & Seek.

About One Man Hide & Seek & Instructions on how to play the game.

This is a Japanese game in which you play a dangerous game of cat and mouse with a possessed doll. [Fun right?] This game is also known as Hitori Kakurenbo, One Man Hide & Seek is very dangerous.

To play One Man Hide & Seek you must have a stuffed doll [It must have limbs, arms and legs], a bag of uncooked white rice [Enough to fill a doll], a needle and red thread, a sharp knife [scissors, a paperclip, whatever. it just has to have a sharp tip]. Last but not least a hiding place.

Steps

1. Cut the doll open & remove all it’s stuffing. Fill the doll with the uncooked rice. [This is what the spirit will feed on, in many Japanese Cultures rice is said to attract spirits.]

2. You need to use something from your body to bind the doll to you. Don’t use ANYTHING from someone elses body or it becomes a curse. [You can use fingernail clippings, blood, hair]

3. Sew up the doll with the red thread and use the remainder of the thread to tie it up around the stomach or neck.

4. Fill a bathtub with water.

5. Place a cup of salt water in your hiding place.

6. Choose a name for the doll. [This will make the spirit grow in power]

7. At precisely 3 AM go to the tub and say “(your name) is the first it”. This must be said three times.

8. Place the doll in the bathtub & go around the house switching off all the lights. Leave the TV on static White Noise Channel. While you do this be sure to take the knife with you.

9. Go back to your hiding place, close your eyes and count to ten.

10. Return to the bathroom with the Knife.

11. Say “I have found you (dolls name)!” and stab the doll. [This will anger the spirit.]

12. Say three times, “Now (dolls name) is it!” an put the doll and knife back into the bath.

13. Immediately run back to your hiding place.

How To End The Game

Take a Mouth Full of salt water & find the doll, once you found it you must spit it on the doll. After doing so you must say “I win” three times then cut the red thread. [This make the spirit give up and leave the dolls body]

After the game either burn the doll or discard it from your house.

RULES!!!!!!!!!

DO NOT GO OUTSIDE OF THE HOUSE!

DO NOT PLAY THE GAME FOR MORE THAN TWO HOURS. THIS WILL RESULT IN THE SPIRIT GETTING TO POWERFUL AND IT WONT LEAVE THE DOLLS BODY!

EVERYBODY IN THE HOUSE MUST PLAY, OR YOU CAN PLAY ALONE WHICH IS PERFERABLE TO MOST. IF ANYBODY IN THE HOUSE WHO IS NOT HIDING MEET WITH THE DOLL, THEY ARE IN DANGER!

DO NOT LEAVE YOUR HIDING PLACE WITHOUT SALT WATER IN YOUR MOUTH, THE DOLL WILL BE SEARCHING FOR YOU!

WHEN YOU ARE RETURNING TO YOUR HIDING PLACE DO NOT LOOK BEHIND YOU!

YOU MUST TURN OFF ALL LIGHTS AND KEEP VERY QUIET IN HIDING!
