The Alpha Queen

Chapter 2 this is my life

Hayley's P.O.V 

  The days went by and dragged on, but the nights were the worst, they seemed to go on forever and it took hours for me to fall asleep and by the time I did it was time to wake up. This was my life now, The Queen of The Alpha's, I trusted no one and I hated the Moon Goddess more and more, with every passing day, she took my mother and my father in less than a day of each other. Beta Ron has assumed the mantle of my protector and is now like a father to me, his mate, Tesha has become a mother figure that I can turn to and she tries her best with me. 

  Tonight I went to bed as normal, but the night was full of noises. The wind was blowing hard and making the tree limbs brush against the castle wall, near my bedroom window. The crickets were singing their song, when the thunder started to roar and the heavens opened up, it was raining hard and beating down on the roof of the castle. All the different noises mingled together and it was sorta kinda peaceful, the sound of the rain helped me fall into a deep sleep. I started to dream, well I thought it was a dream, I was in the castle garden. I know I planted a vegetable garden, but on the other side was a flower garden and I knew I hadn't planted that. Where did it come from? Suddenly a woman appeared and something told me I wasn't going to like what was about to happen, my wolf was already growling in a protective manner. 

  "How did you get here without the guards noticing?" I asked her, as I walked over to her. The woman turned to me, smiling, her bright green eyes sparkled and her hair shined brightly in the sun. Wait sun? It was still night time, wasn't it?

  "Hayley, I know you are mad at me right now, but I didn't do this on purpose to hurt you or for you to hate me." The woman said, my eyes grew wide with every word she said, as realisation hit me. She was The Moon Goddess.

  "WHY DID YOU BRING ME HERE! YOU KNEW I WOULDN'T LISTEN TO YOU! YOU TOOK MY MOM AND MY DAD FROM ME AND ALL IN ONE DAY! THEY DIED BECAUSE OF YOU!" I screamed at her, my anger showing through. I tried my hardest to stay calm, but coming face to face with her had brought all my feelings to the surface. The Moon Goddess however stayed calm.

  "I gave your father a choice and he chose to come back. I picked who was praying first, It wasn't easy Hayley. I didn't know your father was going to run into that fire. I did not do that." The Moon Goddess said, it was like she was pleading for me to understand.

  "I know it's hard right now, but you're going to grow into a powerful Queen and all will fear to even go against you, just like your father." The Moon Goddess continued, but I shook her head, I didn't want to listen to anymore of what she had to say, I had heard enough. 

  "LEAVE ME ALONE! HAVEN'T YOU DONE ENOUGH!" I screamed again and The Moon Goddess actually looked defeated, she turned around and vanished into thin air. I woke up with a jolt, remembering what had just happened and started crying my eyes out. I laid on my side and curled up into a ball, hugging my pillow. All I wanted was my mom and dad, I wanted to hug them, I wanted to hold them and tell them how much I loved them. Yet another night, where I cried myself to sleep.

  The Moon Goddess P.O.V

  I tried talking to Hayley, I tried to explain,  but it was no good. Her eyes held so much anger and sadness, not that I could blame her though. The hate in her eyes said it all and she hated me with a passion, maybe one day I could appear to her and try to talk to her again, but now was not the right time. Whenever I thought of Hayley, the only thing I saw were her eyes, the pain, the hate and the sadness.

  Four years later….

  Hayley's P.O.V

  I am twenty-one years old now and many men have come to try and get me to marry them, but I always kick them out. I won't marry until I find my mate and even then he would have to prove himself to me. He would have to prove to me that he would be a great king to rule by my side and I won't make it easy on him at all. I was so fed up with these fake bastard's and all they ever wanted was power, they didn't want love or me, just power and I wasn't going to let that happen. I made a promise to my parents, that I would be a great Queen and I will stand by my word. I wouldn't just let any man take over my father's chair, my thoughts were cut short when I heard a knock on the office door.

  "Come in." I said and Ron entered with his mate Tesha and they both bowed to me. 

  "We just came to remind you, that the Alpha of the Red John pack will be here tomorrow, to discuss the rogue problem he's having." Beta Ron said.

  "He's an Alpha, I don't understand why he can't fight them off. If he's unable to do it then maybe we should replace him, Ron please do me a favour and start the paperwork for that, tell this so-called Alpha to bring three of his men with him, but do not tell him why." I said, shaking my head.

  "I will, my Queen." Beta Ron said, bowing and he and Tesha both left. they bowed in left, 

  Beta Ron's P.O.V

  "Do you think she will get over her anger?" I said, turning to Tesha. 

  "I don't know honey, it's been four years now, but everyone mourns differently." Tesha replied, shaking her head.

  "I wish her father was still here, maybe she would be okay if he was." I said and Tesha sighed.

  "Layla was the backbone to this family and without her Logan couldn't go on." Tesha said, we both nodded.

  "Well let's get the paperwork done, that poor Alpha isn't going to know what hit him." I said and we both carried on walking to my office.
