Chapter 12 changing of the guards

Darryl POV 

As soon as he woke up. He thought he was late. He hurried to take a shower dried off and got dressed. Hayley walked into the room looking confused. "Why are you dressed as a guard?" It was his turn to look confused. " Because i'm the head of the guards. And I need to get to work. She chuckled. " you are no longer the head of the guards. You need to call all the guards to the yard. And pick your replacement," " But why? Am I being fired Shaking her head no. Because you have four more tests to do and once when you pass them. You will be the king. He finally understood. He mindlinked all the guards letting them know to meet him in the yard in an hour. He ended the link. Then smirked at Hayley, she smirked back as she said. 

" We have an hour," he chuckled, you know. You're right, he smirked pushing her to bed. He turned her around. Unzipping her shorts she was wearing, pulling them down to her ankles, she stepped out of them. He pulled his pants down, as the bulge from his boxers was showing. He smirked, slapping her ass. "Hi guys," listen, I'm stepping down, "I need to finish my test to become King, I'm going to decide which one of you to become head guard, "All of y'all are the best, you work hard, and you keep the rogues out, but I can choose only one, the guards looked at each other, then nodded, Darryl looked at each and everyone, he grew up with most of them. Some were older than the rest, and he became close with all, he sighed. I think it's best for you to decide, if you feel like you should be the head guard or if someone should be, push them forward or just simply step back, they all nodded, then looked at each other, then suddenly four of the guards pushed one of the guards up, he was 6.1 muscular red shoulder length hair with dark green eyes, everyone knew if Darryl ever stepped down. Derek would be the one that would become head guard, he was second in command, and he was a stronger fighter,but Darryl was stronger. They learned everything from him, Darryl looked at Derek, 

"Well Derek"  "What do you have to say for yourself," Derek chuckled, "Well I guess sir"  " I'll be taking your place" since they pushed me forward," the guards laughed at the comment, "I will make you proud sir,"  Darryl nodded, I know you will, just keep doing what you been doing, and you'll do just fine, he nodded and stepped back in line, alright guys get back to work, I got to figure out what test I have next, they laughed wished him luck and took off have in the woods to work, Derek sighed the paperwork that Ron just gave him, then took off to the guards house to move his stuff to the fourth floor. With his mate, Darryl  turned to Hayley, "alright what's next?" She's chuckled softly, "love you just finished one of them already" he looked confused, "You did the change of guards," And let them decide, who they wanted, instead of you deciding for them, he shook his head, laughing alright what's next, "there will be a Alpha coming with his mate from the purple heart  moon pack tomorrow, to decide a friend ship, with another packs Alpha the red river pack, he will be here with his mate as well, I'm going to leave this meeting to you, and see what you can do, I'll be here sitting right beside you, this is your second to last test. ,"If  you pass this one,"you will have one more test left," he nodded finally he thought I'm almost done, I'm so tired of these tests," not because I'll be King, because that doesn't matter to me, but because I'm sick of them. They walked back into the house and hand, "what do you say staying in today and have a movie date, there's no business today.  Nodding she agreed, alright let's do it
