“Oh yes, Morris Baker this is Maxim Taylor, my…husband. Maxim, this is Morris, he used to work with my dad.” Morris holds his hand out to shake.
“Wow a husband? I hadn’t heard you got married. Congratulations to you both. You’re a lucky guy Maxim.” He’s smiling still and I see Maxim relax a bit as he shakes his hand.
“Carys did you ever finish one of your books? You were always writing things down.”
“I’m working on finishing one soon. Not sure what will happen with it but at least I’ll have one totally completed.” I see a man waving and calling his name.
“Oh gotta go. Hope I can talk to you again before you leave Carys.” He walks away with a friendly nod.
