JACKIE'S POV: I got to hang out with Cami for the next three days while Lucien went to work. The café was closed, I gave everyone who was supposed to work half the pay for the vacation and eventually after three emails back and forth about how it was unfair to mess with their wages and livelihood, I got three people left on my staff. It made me sad, and angry that they just assumed I was doing it for fun or my own benefit, but thankfully, I didn't have to worry about them anymore, and I didn't have to give them half pay next week or for the three days they didn't work since they quit before that. For the other three I sent them separate emails, apologizing, telling them what was really going on, and then I told them about how I was making big changes in my life that might affect their hours, essentially giving them more. They told me they understood how hard it could be to join a life with a kid, and that it was alright, and I didn't have to explain everything. I didn't like it, but I accepted it and would talk to them more about it in person after the holiday week. As of Saturday evening, I was officially making Thanksgiving dinner for all the single 'brothers' of the MC, my brother, Cami and some kids who would be coming as well. I tried to get a head count and realized it would be above 40. That made me scramble around for places to get a big enough bird and enough hams. I did math in my head, easily, and Lucien tried to help out by saying we could use some of the brother’s apartments with ovens- "But then I can't be the one making everything can I?" I asked him and he clamped his mouth shut, smiling just slightly and I went back to working out mashed potatoes using both russets and sweet potatoes. I would do like 10 pounds of gravy with all the meat. Cranberry sauce. Desserts and stuffing. I worked that out quickly enough. That's when I heard Ryan, or Razor, talking about how he could get his mother to lend us her two ovens since they would be out of town and I damn there cheered. "Not to mention we have those two deep fry things we did that turkey in two years ago." "That man... is a godsend." I told Lucien and cheered before getting up from the couch. Cami had gone to bed almost an hour ago, and she had helped me plan the snacks and desserts for the entire Razorback Family. There would be five kinds of pie, brownies and cookies for dessert, but for snacks I would make some muffins and pick up chips and dip. She would hold me with the easy things like mixing and refills.  "Tell her that my sister Tara is sticking around and is willing to help." Ryan shouted and I relaxed a bit more. "Though, she usually burns toast." "Great." I whispered and moved closer to the kitchen to finish up my lists of things. I would be going tomorrow, super early. With or without company. I had told Lucien that and he didn't like it, said he would get someone to come over early in the morning and follow me out. I didn't mind it anymore. I was worried something would happen each time Cami and I went somewhere the past couple days. I would be looking over my shoulder, around the corner... everywhere. "Ryan said to head to the clubhouse in the morning, he will keep everything for the day of there and we can bring the dessert stuff here or there. I don't know what you want." Lucien leaned into the kitchen and my mind tried to focus on what would be best before I closed my eyes. "I will bring all the dessert stuff here but might need to make a trip to the café to hold some stuff. I am sure your fridge isn't big enough." I looked at it, knowing there was fresh leftovers from dinner and the past couple dinners too. This place was huge... but there wasn't any space for a giant meal. I sat down and yawned as I again wrote out the list, no messing up this time. I went to bed the next couple nights, anxious something would go wrong. I woke up Wednesday morning. Everything I needed in the house. I got right to work. Working the pie doughs to perfection before letting them rest. I dived into the cookies and was done with three kinds before I started on the pies again. The entire house smelled so good. I ended the night with the muffins, letting Lucien and Cami have some for snack. Lucien had taken the pies to the café for me, making sure they were in the right spot to stay fresh. He came back with pizza and I ate at least four slices before getting back to work. I collapsed into bed and I told Lucien all about the first every thanksgiving I did. My dad had invited his little force, and each of them showed up. I cooked for a lot of men and not once did I get a 'thank you'. I even had to clean it all up with Avery that night. He told me then and there that I would not be cleaning anything tomorrow. He would get someone to do it, and also help out.  "No one that cooks has to clean up." He told me and leaned over, giving me a kiss. A slow soft one that made me curl into his side and sleep like a baby, ready for the next day. I slept in, rushing to get dressed and ready for the day ahead I walked out of the house at 6 am and headed right for the club house with Lucien and Cami in tow. We got things ready at the clubhouse in no time, three pounds of stuffing for each bird, putting the amount for the deep-fried birds in a regular pan. I put it under the first bird in the oven while Lucien woke Ryan up to get his mother’s house and also start the oil for the other turkey. I was in my element. Some of the guys checked in when things were getting busy, asking if they should help or something. "I could use some help finding a potato masher." I told one when I couldn't find one after ten minutes of looking. "I'm not sure we even have one here." He scratched his face, the stubble making a sound that Lucien's did just this morning. "Do you think anyone close has one?" I asked him and he opened his mouth, closed it and then turned when someone clapped him on the back. "What did you need baby?" Lucien came around him, his face not seeming to be happy at all. "A potato masher." I told him and he nodded and gave a look to the other guy, who hadn't been watching me or Cami the past week or before that. He was a new face. "I got it Rig. Go and find Ryan. He wanted to talk to you." Lucien passed him made a B line right to me, giving me a deep kiss and wrapping an arm around my hips before the other guy, Rig, got the chance to turn and leave. "What was that?" I asked him once we were alone. "What?" He asked and I rolled my eyes knowing it was him claiming me in front of a new person. "He's new to the chapter. I don't like him all that much. Ryan's cousin sent him here as a punishment of some kind. He won't tell Ryan, and Ryan's cousin didn't want to talk. So, we have no idea why he's here." He told me and kissed my temple before looking around like a masher was just going to appear. "A masher please." I told him and he sighed. "I will get someone to head to Ryan's moms place and get hers." He kissed me again, backing out of the kitchen as I turned to make sure the russets were really done. I pulled out butter and milk and waited about ten minutes before Lucien came back into the kitchen. Cami was somewhere with Ryan, hopefully being very careful around the deep-fried turkey out back. "I got this, just put the milk in." He told me when I reached for the masher. "Okay." I smiled and gave him the right amount of milk before the right amount of butter for the size before letting him mash away. I got the almost turkey pulled out and ran the butter stick around the skin before taking a couple more slices from it and tossing it where the stuffing was and where some was sticking out of the turkey. I covered it with foil again before struggling to push it back in the oven and then setting a timer. I leaned back, knowing nothing else had to come off a burner and then moving right to look over Lucien's shoulder. "How does that look?" He asked me and turned to look at me. "Still a little lumpy." I told him and he smiled but went back to mashing before it was perfect. I wrapped my arms around his middle, and he turned when I told him it was okay, and he wrapped his arms around me. "Thank you." He kissed my temple and I felt a little confused as to why it seemed like a huge thank you and not just a 'thanks for dinner'. "What is that thank you for?" I asked him and he sighed and looked around. "Most of the brothers here don't have families anymore. They're either dead or they left. Usually we bypass the holidays as much as we can... but all the guys who are here... they're so happy to be surrounded by everyone else. If you didn't offer, we wouldn't be here." He kissed me again, this time not on my temple. Right smack on the lips, pushing me so my hips were against the counter and I reached back to push the potatoes back as his hands went down towards my thighs. He lifted me up and put me right on the counter, his hands squeezing my thighs and then moving down to my knees and pulling them a bit more until he fit between them and then he reached back with one hand and made me cross my ankles around his back. "Now that is a thank you... also a tease." I whispered knowing tonight we planned on spending the night here, and like the first night I was here, I knew Cami would be in her bed, that is in his room here at the club house. So... no s*x. But that was okay. Because tomorrow when we went home it would be a relaxing day and tomorrow night would be even better. "You've been teasing me all day." "How? I am wearing jeans and a shirt. You saw me get dressed. I am not even wearing pretty underwear." I told him and he laughed. "It doesn't have to be pretty. Just knowing that it's wet is enough." He leaned in, kissed me again quickly before turning to look around. "Need any more help?" "Maybe in twenty minutes to get the turkey out." I told him and he nodded. "What could we do in twenty minutes?" He tapped his mouth and I laughed and shook my head. "Nope. Can't. There are other things to do in those twenty minutes. How about you go and see if there is anything that needs to be done with the table. Cami said she would see what kinds of things she could decorate it with." I told him and he sighed but nodded. He checked me out over his shoulder, and I giggled and turned back to check the sweet potatoes. This might have been a busy day, but it was only going to get better through the night.
