"What?" James frowned, this time following Abby to continue their argument. Abby walked to the kitchen and began taking out her anger at the uncooked carrots she peeled a few minutes ago.
"You promised to marry me if I untied you." James reminded her and Abby's response to that was her crossed fingers.
'She made a promise with crossed fingers!' The meaning kicked in, and so did his anger.
"You tricked me." He remarked, pissed.
"Well, living with a deal-breaker for five years taught me some tricks." Abby reminded him of the times he cheated in his own promises just to piss her and his little brother.
"Mia, I don't like apologizing but I am truly sorry for unintentionally hurting your feelings." James said, pushing his apology to sound sincere like he meant to say but to Abby's ears
