GIOVANNI
I was seated in my office, looking through the files on my table and cussing under my breath as I wondered why I bothered paying those dumbass six figures monthly when they are completely useless and can't even do their work properly.
I thought the head was meant for thinking. Did they sit on their head and think with their ass while they were making decisions about the new project? This was the first time I'd allow them to handle business alone for f**k sake! I hissed for the umpteenth time, when Dara knocked gently, before peeping in.
"What?" I snapped at her.
"I'm sorry to disturb you sir, but tonight is the party Mr Harrington invited you to." She said with shaky breath, avoiding eye contact with me.
"Dara, how long have you been working with me?"
"Fi– five years, sir," she cleared her throat, trying to sound confident.
"And how many parties have I attended within those five years?"
"I'm sorry, sir."
"I didn't ask for an apology, I asked a question."
"None that I can recall except the last one you attended because of a potential investor," she answered, with her gaze fixed on the floor.
"And that shows that?"
"You don't attend parties, sir." She shivered.
"So what makes you think I'd attend this one?" I glared at her, considering the tempting feeling to just lash out my anger at her.
"I'm sorry, sir, I thought you would want to go because you asked a few questions about Miss Nicole Harrington lately, but I guessed wrong. I'm so sorry, sir, it won't repeat itself."
Nicole Anne Harrington? That name is one that I could never forget. I would catch myself whispering those names to myself just to know how it would sound when I finally got the chance to call them.
Since the night I hooked up with that girl, she was all I could think of, even when I was busy f*****g other ladies, p***y could warm my c**k like hers.
"What does she have to do with the party?" I frowned, feeling all worked up by the little information.
"She is the only child of Mr Harrington and from what I heard, the party was her inauguration party as the company's new director," she answers me warily, unsure of why I was suddenly interested in the party.
"Good! What time is the party and where is it taking place?" I tapped my wristwatch anxiously as I waited for her response.
"It was meant to start by 6:00 pm." She checked her wristwatch and checked the time before speaking again. "Looks like they will be starting anytime soon."
"Do I have any important meeting scheduled later for the day?"
"No sir, your schedule is free for the rest of the day."
"Good, let's call it a day."
I stood up from my seat and grabbed my car keys, as I headed to the hotel where the party was taking place.
Most people were surprised to see me because this was the first time I'd be coming to such an insignificant party, but if it meant getting to see that beautiful woman again, then what harm would showing my presence do?
"Mr Salvatore, it's such a pleasure to have you here," Mr Harrington greeted with a smile.
"It's my pleasure," I forced out a smile.
"Please, come this way," Mr Harrington said, leading the way to the VIP table. My eyes scanned the room for a certain figure, and it didn't take long before my eyes landed on her. She was prettier than I expected in broad daylight. I could still remember how her eyes sparkled with desire, how her body responded eagerly to my touch, the way she threw her head backwards whenever I hit a spot, and God! She was f*****g tight.
She had a beautiful smile plastered on her face as she greeted her guest. She was putting on a long red dress that captured her body as if it were made just for her. I could see the way her boobs hang tightly on the dress, and I imagined squeezing them into those materials.
Fuck! Why does she have to be so attractive? I could feel my d**k forming hard under my jeans, and I groaned. Those red lips, I wondered how they would feel when they are wrapped around my c**k—
"Mr Salvatore? What a pleasant surprise. Who would have known that I'd run into you here? I was just planning on calling you tonight if I get the chance. I have a business I think we can work on," Mr Shin, one of my biggest clients, said with a surprised look.
"Oh really? Who would have known that I would be hitting a jackpot from just coming to a party?" I teased the old man and he laughed heartily.
I forced a small smile as we spoke, but I couldn't stop looking at Nicole from the corner of my eyes. I caress the glass in my hands, rubbing on a circle, as I imagine doing that to her lap. In no time, she would be moaning out my name, begging for my c**k.
"Do you think we can fix a meeting for next week? I know you are a busy man, and I'm even more lucky to run into you today. If not, only God knows how long it would take to fix an appointment."
"C'mon, Mr Shin," I laughed. "You are one of our VIP clients, of course, we wouldn't keep you waiting in the line."
"I heard you are strict with rules though,"
"That, I am." I released a chuckle when I noticed Nicole staring at me with a blonde girl beside her. Judging from the way they were staring in my direction as they spoke, I could tell that they were talking about me.
Did she remember how I made her feel? Is she longing for more? I just wanted to round up with this old man and get down to the main business of why I was here, but I don't want to look 'desperate,' I have never been one and I won't be one over a p***y.
My eyes met with hers and she looked away immediately. Aw, is she shy now?
"So, Mr Salvatore, do you think you can help this old man to break through the line? I'm not exactly a patient man," he chuckled.
"We will have to see to that, Mr Shin. I am not the one in charge of that, but I can have a word with the person in charge," I forced out a smile once again. My biggest irks are people who think they can break the rules because of their power or influence. With me, everyone is equal unless you prove yourself worthy to be treated specially.
"I trust you to do it," he smiled.
"If you will excuse me, Mr Shin, I would like to greet a few more people before taking my leave." He nodded in response, and I took it as my cue to leave the crew before someone else stopped me to have unnecessary conversation. If they want to talk about business, they know where to find me.
I could see the panic in Nicole's eyes, as I approached her, and she shifted uncomfortably under my gaze. Not that I minded though. If I had my way, she would leave the hotel with shaky legs later.
"Nicole Anne Harrington, finally, I see you again," I smiled confidently, as I stood in front of her.
"Hi, Mr…" She looked over at the blonde girl to remind her of my surname and I smiled.
"Salvatore," I helped her finish her sentence. "But you can call me Giovanni," I said, extending my hands for her to shake.
"Right, Mr Salvatore," she smiled, ignoring the fact that I just told her to call me my last name. "If I may ask, what do you mean by you finally meeting me again? Have we met before?" She asked, looking genuinely curious, and there was something about how her eyes kept on sparkling— if they were a river, I wouldn't mind drowning in it.
I leaned closer to her ear, brushing my lips against her skin, and I felt her inhale sharply. "The King's Hotel three months ago, from the Club down the street. Does it ring a bell?" I smirked, and I felt her cheeks turn red.
Of course, she couldn't have forgotten that night. She masked up her expression, as I moved back and her flushed cheek was replaced with a scowl.
"I have no idea about what you are talking about, and I hope you will have some respect and give me some space," she glared at me.
Sassy, I love it. She tried to walk past me, but I held her wrist before she could get away.
"I have been looking everywhere for you and now that we finally see, I think walking away like this will be somewhat rude," I chuckled.
"I don't know you, and I don't have anything to say to you. So if you will please, excuse me," she jerked her hands away from mine and joined the crowd.
