Chapter 6

I smirk as Theodosia gently plays with my brown hair. I open my eyes and quickly turn around, wrapping my arms around her naked waist. She giggled, her hand leaving my hair to go trace my chest. "Last night was. . . amazing," she whispered. I nodded in agreement and traced her spine, making her shiver. "What they say about werewolves is true." I smirked, staring into her completely green eyes. "And what would that be?" She blushed, shaking her blue hair in front of her eyes. "That they have incredible stamina." I chuckled at her and brushed her hair back. "Do I need to take you home?" She looked passed my shoulder at the clock on my nightstand. "Probably. My parents are probably going to flip once I get home." I frown as a feeling of guilt goes over me. "Don't worry about it though. It was totally worth it." I nod. She gets up, taking my blanket with her to cover herself. I smirk and watch as she gets dressed. "Where's my bra?" I pointed towards the nightstand and she walked over to it, taking out her slightly ripped bra, pouting. "This was one of my favorites. . ." "Sorry," I said with a shrug. She glared at me but I could see the smile fighting it's way onto her lips. "You owe me for this." I pushed myself out of bed, walking around to where she was. I wrap my arms around her waist and pull her back to me. Leaning down to her ear, my lips brush her skin as I whisper, "And what do I owe you?" I place a kiss just below her ear. She shudders and leans into my chest. "I'll think about it." She pushes away from me and puts on her bra. I frown and go grab a set of clothes from my closet. I grab a random pair of jeans and a black shirt. When we get to the garage I grab a random set of keys which just happens to be one of my favorites. It was a red 1997 jeep wrangler. We have about 5 jeeps but we've had most of them since before I was born so I don't exactly know why. I open Theodosia's door for her and she gives me a smile. The entire drive back to her coven we sit in a comfortable silence, Theodosia only speaking up to give directions. It wasn't exactly far away but it wasn't exactly close either. It was a good forty-five minute drive. It would have been longer but there wasn't much traffic. I stop right outside her coven, knowing that I wouldn't be welcome if I didn't have permission. Theodosia smiles at me, leaning over to kiss my cheek. "Remember you still owe me," she says with a chuckle. I watch as she walks over the coven borders and out of sight before driving away. I turn the car around and decide to go into town. I pull up to Delian's shop and park in the 'employee only' space. I mean, no one really works here besides Delian so who's going to stop me? "Del! Where's the junk food," I yell as I burst into the shop. I feel three pairs of eyes on me and look to see a couple talking to Delian. Well, not talking anymore. Oops. . . "Sorry, I'll be in the kitchen." "I apologize for him," I heard her say to the couple and then blocked out their voices, searching the fridge. I pulled out the milk and grabbed the cereal off the top of the fridge. I poured myself a bowl and sat on top of the counter to enjoy my sugary breakfast. Delian glared at me as she walked in. "You almost lost me a customer." I shrugged. "Then that will suck for them." I took another bite of my cereal. "What has you in such a good mood today? You're not even in training right now." A smile made its way onto my lips and I took another bite. "Alright, you got me curious. What'd you do? Sleep with someone?" She chuckled a bit at her words but I only smirked. "Oh my goddess, you slept with someone! Who was it?" "Theodosia," I say calmly, meanwhile Delian looks like she just got told the news of the century. "Finally! Wes owes me twenty bucks!" I raise an eyebrow at her. "I bet him that you two would hook up somehow last night and he didn't believe me! Don't ever assume I'm wrong!" She winks at me and her eyes glaze over. A minute or two later she bursts out laughing at whatever Wes' (probably pissed off) response was. "What would you think if I asked her out?" She stops her laughing and stares at me seriously. "Don't." "Why not?" Delian bites her lips, twirling a strand of her ginger hair around her finger. "You know she's not your mate. . ." "And neither is anyone else," I point out, my eyes narrowing. "Well she has a mate out there somewhere. . ." "Who she might not even meet for a long time. Kaleshia didn't meet Zay for a few hundred years." She takes a deep breath, staring me straight into the eyes. "And she fell in love before that, only to have her heart broken when he died. Magi can only ever bring one person back once and that should be saved for their mate if it's ever needed. Don't break her heart and just let her be." I frowns and place my bowl on the counter. "That's my life isn't it? I have to let other people be happy and just stand on the sidelines?" I scoff. "f**k this." "Max-" "No! Shut up!" I take a deep breath as my wolf whines in my mind. "That's not what I meant and you know that." "I said shut up!" She looks at me with slightly scared eyes. I don't usually see her scared. "I'm going to go for a walk. I'll pick up my car later." I push past her, slamming the door as I leave.
