The area of the former compound was hard to see with how much nature had taken over. There had clearly been ten or so trailers parked there, around what must’ve been a large clearing.
Now, the SUV stood in the snow on a vaguely circular spot with plants peeking out of the snow here and there. The remaining trailers, six of them in total, were barely there.
All but one had collapsed over the years, and he couldn’t see any intact windows, either. It was obvious none of the trailers had been high end ones in the first place. They were of various sizes, but he could understand child Kyler’s thinking of the actual real house being very big and fancy compared to the trailers.
