I put everything I had into healing her. Poured every bit of magic that I possessed and as I collapsed and my eyes shut, I still saw those black veins. I didn’t let myself rest for but a minute before I forced myself back to my feet again. I took a step forward to position myself again but Simon stood in front me. “Out of the way,” I demanded with a shake of my head.
