10. One day at a time

I wanted to shift to my animal and run free through the forest, but looking at the two guards on either side of me, I knew it would end badly for me. After a slightly uncomfortable breakfast and some truths given to me by Dillan, I was allowed to take a walk outside, but the two guards were a reminder that even if it looked like I was free, I wasn't. But at least I was starting to realize that I didn't have to be confined, I could try to make the best of this. I was trapped, I would have to do my part and have the children they demanded of me, but at least now I had a choice of how to do it. Dillan wasn't that bad, and so far he had been honest. I knew that if all he wanted was the cubs, he could go about it a different way, he owed me nothing, he could just force me to do whatever
