34 - 34 - Rodin arrived in the training room a good hour before the warriors. He ran through some warm-ups himself, and then set the room, dragging equipment around and rummaging through the training weapons. Vanya was the first warrior to arrive. She stood in the doorway, casting her eyes over the room. “Decorating?” “Nice idea, but no paint.” He gave her a smile. “Thought we’d push the training today. Try something different.” “Fair enough. Still okay to warm up?” He waved a hand. “Kept that space free. Can’t miss a warm-up.” She was well into her exercises by the time the others appeared. They all made some kind of comment‌—‌many light-hearted, a few antagonistic, just as he’d expected‌—‌before heading to the free space. He didn’t have to tell any of them to start their routine
