Just call me Justin

Before I could go to bed, I reached for my phone and did some research about Justin Wright. There were few pictures uploaded on the internet and most were from the business news. I found out he's 26 years old and started acting as the CEO in Wrights Group of Shopping Malls at age 25. His father handed over some of their businesses after he graduated business degree from Harvard. He has a sister four years younger than me and she's beautiful. They really have good genes and I must say the children of the heavens for being fortunate in everything. It was written that he dated some famous models but he didn't give confirmations about those gossips. Damn! I felt like I have allergies when it comes to models after what Scott did to me. Mr. Wright really is a good-looking man and a lot of women will flock to him if he will just allow to. Audrey was crazy to think that he likes me without knowing who I am. Absurd! The next day, I found out that Charles was out for a week because of an emergency. His wife was sent to the hospital because of fatigue. He left a note on my table with a list of errands that I need to do. He sent me an email that he will be replying to urgent emails but he needs me to be attentive around the CEO because he has a lot of appointments in the coming days. It was stated that I should buy the CEO a cup of cappuccino every morning before I enter the office. I saw an envelope pinned beside the note he left me and when I checked on it, it was a credit card. A post-it was attached to it "Use this card whenever he asked you to purchase something - including the coffee," was written. I immediately went down of the building to buy him his coffee and when I came back, I ran into Lana who's about to go out and informed me that the CEO just arrived a few minutes ago. I knocked at his door and when I heard him telling me to come in, I saw him sitting on his swivel chair with his phone on the loudspeaker. It was obvious that he's in the group meeting because someone is talking on the line. As soon as I placed his coffee on the table, he switched on the mute button and thanked me for his coffee.  "Lauren, if you need something you don't have to knock," I furrowed my brows because I'm confused. "You can directly open the door," I stilled for a moment because that would be inappropriate. "Mr. Wright, I don't want to be rude," I replied. "I'm fine with knocking on your door," I resisted because it's the right thing to do. "I might not hear you the next time," he sounded serious. "As you can see I'm always in a meeting," I felt hesitant but I just nodded at him because I don't want to stay long inside his office. Also, he's in the middle of a meeting and I already disturbed him for few seconds. Before I could turn my back and head out to the door, "Lauren, one more thing," I turned to face him again and asked him about it. "Just call me Justin," I stunned because I'm not sure if I heard him right. "I mean when it's just the two of us. Mr. Wright is too formal," I wanted to protest but I heard a man on the call asking his opinion on their topic. I opted to nod because I don't want to be an interruption in his meeting. When I got back to my table, a message popped on my screen from an internal chatbox. I checked on it immediately and I saw that it was from Lana. "Why Charles not around?" she questioned.  I right away responded with the reason why Charles is out for a week. I could tell from her succeeding replies that she's heaving a relief because she thought I replaced him as the new secretary. Silly! It was half an hour past 11 and I should ask Justin about what he likes for lunch. I felt I was cursed since I have no other choice but to deal with his presence in front of me from time to time because Charles isn't around.  I sat up from my chair and went in front of his office door. I know he said that I don't need to knock, but still, I did before opening the door though he didn't reply. I saw him leaning on his swivel, head up, and eyes closed. Because I didn't want to disturb him, I decided I should go back later but before I could turn towards the door, " Yes, Lauren?" I stopped and I'm afraid I interrupted his nap. "I'm sorry, Mr. Wright. I didn't know you're napping," I apologized instantly. "I came just to ask about what you like for lunch,"  I felt relieved I did not stutter. "Just be ready we will be out for lunch," he responded and I don't know if I heard him right. "We?" I creased my brows at him. "Yes, I have a lunch meeting with Mr. Denver and I need you there," I felt at ease because I thought it's just the two of us. I saw it on his appointments for today but I thought it will be a phone meeting because I haven't read a note of a lunch meeting. Anyways, I have no right to question his appointments. "Oh, okay Mr. Wright," but before I could turn to head to the door, "Lauren, what did I say?" I furrowed my brows because I didn't know what he meant. "I told you to call me Justin if it's just two of us, right?" I nodded to him "Okay, Justin". I saw a hint of a smile on his face but I'm certain he was just suppressing it. I prepped myself as soon as I got back to my space so that when he gets out of his office I'm ready and will not let him wait for me. "Of course, he shouldn't be," I snorted because my mind mocked me again. Stupid! "Are you ready, Lauren?" he questioned as soon as he's in front of my table. I nodded at him and we walked through the lift. I kept my distance from him because I don't want people around to see us so close. As much as possible, I want to avoid gossips because I hate to get involved in useless accusations. I followed him and I noticed we're heading to a separate elevator not far from the other four that we usually use. I didn't ask him but he informed me that it's his private lift. He let me in first and pushed the basement button. Surely it is where he parks his car but I really have no idea where we are having our lunch meeting. When the elevator stopped, he stepped out first and I saw three kinds of luxurious cars. I think it's his private parking area because a man came near us and greeted him. "Derek, this is Miss Adams," he introduced us right away. "She's a newly hired employee and you might see her often because Charles is out for an emergency," he said hi and smiled politely at me which I reciprocated in the same manner. Derek is his personal driver but Justin informed him that he will personally drive the two of us to the lunch meeting.  He talked to Derek that he should wait for his instruction because he might ask for some important errands later. He opened the shotgun door for me to enter his Audi and I thanked him shyly.  To open a car door for me isn't necessary but I was hesitant to tell him. I didn't utter a word because I'm afraid to open a topic. I felt tense that it's just the two of us in his car after kissing each other's tongue a few nights ago. Awkward!
