Chapter 4
HAILEY’S POV
“Are you sure about this?” Sandra blew a deep breath as she shuffled nervously on her feet.
“I don’t want to be the person who feels like this anymore yet he is out there f*****g another woman,” I snorted out aloud.
“I am on your side baby. Come on, get out of the bed. We have to hit the club tonight,” Sandra agreed louder to my complete dismay as he pulled me out of the bed.
“To be honest, I don’t know if I can do this,” I mumbled wiping tears off my face.
“You will do this baby girl. I am here to help you heal,” She pulled me in a quick hug and that really helped.
“Come on, hit the shower and let us get out of this place,” Sandy announced a smile perking up her lips.
Shedding my clothes off, I walked into the bathroom turning on the shower. As the warm water cascaded down my naked body, I closed my eyes trying to forget will though it is hard for I still love him so much.
“Why are you taking too long?” Sandy’s voice sifted me through my thoughts jerking me back to reality.
I was done showering so I tied a towel around my body and got out of the bathroom amidst drying my hair.
Sandra hit the shower and I used that time to blow my hair and flat iron it. I had decided to look my best tonight and nothing was going to deter me from that.
“Why aren’t you dressed?” Sandra was quick to scold me after she was done showering.
“I was waiting to borrow your dress,” A smile touched my lips as I said this.
“Wait, aren’t you going to wear rugged jeans? You don’t normally love wearing dresses especially bodycon ones,” She hushed.
“There is always a fist time.” I giggled.
“My wardrobe is all yours,” She pointed and I got to my feet to pick the perfect dress for tonight.
All her dresses are sexy and that is why it took me a lot of time to decide on a maroon bodycon that left some cleavage but not too much. I paired it up with nude woolen heels.
William always restricted my dressing and he didn’t love me partying a lot and for the first time now that I am free, I am going to hit the club without him. I was really into this idea. I know that I am beautiful and I am sure I will pull the eyes of men once I step into the Black Pearl Club.
I dressed up with nothing underneath. I was really going to look for his replacement soon enough.
“Holy s**t!” That was Sandra exclaiming after she saw how bomb I look in the dress.
“How do I look?” I just wanted to hear her opinion.
“I swear men will be tripping tonight,” She gushed.
She wore a short skater dress and after we did our own makeup and me over lining my lips with a bold red lipstick, we were definitely good to go.
I went through my i********: as we waited for a cab to pick us up. I had finally succeeded to mask his feelings for tonight. I promised myself that I was not going to cry over him. Not tonight.
“Let us go in,” Sandy held my hand and we walked into the glass doors after being checked by the bouncer who once again tripped over me.
“Sure,” I etched a smile.
There were tons of people in the club. Some were dancing others were just drinking in their seats. The DJ played some good instrumentals and I could feel the mood of parting getting to me.
UI was right. I could see men’s eyes staring at me as we made our way to the counter. We needed shots first before anything else.
I could see from the corner of my eyes the taxi guy looking at my bust and that is the attention I wanted tonight. I could smell a good time that I was going to have and I promised myself that I was going to do my best to have fun.
“Shots please,” I told the bartender who seduced me with his looks.
“Alright miss,” He presented six shots.
We emptied the shots, the liquid burning the back of our throats. We scrunched our face then smiled the next minute.
“Sandy, I want to dance, “I hyped as soon as my favorite song boomed on the speakers of the club.
I walked to the dance floor and twerked. In a second, men were flood in the dance floor and each of them was asking for a chance to dance with me.
I was still thinking of whom to choose when I saw Henry Styles, the guy who had a huge crush on me back in campus.
“Hi Hailey,” His charming smile almost swept me off my feet.
“Go for him,” That was Sandy’s advice echoing in my ears.
The night had just started.
