Ch:9 The Pain

The rays of light were coming from the curtains. The sun was shining brightly it was a cold day. But the warm heat of the misty sun was overwhelming the cold windy weather. Edwina was sleeping peacefully in her room. But the rays were flirting with her face. The runs rays kissing her eyes. Edwina put her arm on her beautiful orbs but it was not helping... So, she opened her eyes to see the annoying light disturbing her sleep. Edwina yawned then sit up on the bed. She stretched a bit to let her sleep and laziness go away. Edwin told her hairs in a bun. She feels as she was asleep for years... She yawned again then she thought to take a cold shower. A layer of deep pain covered her whole body. She stumbled on her feet when she feels her head spinning. Edwina again sits back on her bed.

"Ahh, it hurts!" She grabbed her head in her both hands. The door of her room opened suddenly. The Queen of the snow dragons come inside.

"Edwina, you fine? I heard your cry." Hydra comes running towards her. She sits beside her on the bed.

"Hydra!!!" Edwina turn around looking at her she feels a little surprised.

"Yes, Rose. I am here. Don't worry." Hydra said.

"Hydra, what are you doing here? What happened to me? Why is my head hurting so badly?" Edwina was rubbing her temple to get rid of the pain in her head.

"Rose, you are fine. You pass out last night. I think your wolf was not responding due to so much stress or pain." Hydra said.

"Where is the master?" Edwina asked. Hydra didn't reply to her she just looks down in her lap.

"Hydra, where is he?" She asked again.

"He left again... Right?" Edwina said. She forgets her pain. She wants her answers.

"Yes, he left last night. He said you will take care. Also, he will come before your birthday." Hydra replied.

"Hydra, why? But why he left always? He leaves me alone when I need him. When I was in pain. The pain that he gave me. I am just a toy for him? That he just play then leave without informing me." Edwina was angry. She was hurt. Her eyes filled with salty waters... She doesn't want to cry. No, she will not cry for him. Not this time. Why she always feel betrayed when he left her alone.

Edwina wiped her tears then look back at Hydra.

"Hydra, I know you will not tell me the real reason. Why did he leave? But now I don't want to know. I don't want to know anything about him. We are over. I have tried to make this relationship work with my whole heart. I just wanted him to be my friend." Edwin said. She was crying. Hydra was caressing her back to soothe her pain. But no one knows how heart broke she is... Edwina stands up on her feet with difficulty.

"I never wanted anything from him. I just wanted him to beside me. I was all alone in the world. He brings me here but he always ignored me. I knew I was not important to him. But I thought he cares..." She walks towards the glass window. Edwina opened the window then take a huge deep breathe looking outside. The cold wind comes inside her room. She was sniffing, the wind was playing with her hair that was now come out from her tied bun.

"I am so tired. Hydra, I can not do this anymore. I was wrong when I thought he cares about me. Today, I know that he didn't care for me. I am letting myself out from this struggle. I am letting this burden down from my heart. We have nothing... Dryake is just a stranger to me. I will ignore him as he never exists." Edwina said. She was crying silently. The hot burning tears of her pain were rolling down on her cheeks. The cold wind was trying to dry the water on her face. But the tears we're not stopping.

"Roses, please. Don't make such decisions so fast. Just listen to him for one time when he comes back." Hydra said with a sad smile.

"No, Hydra. Drayke never heard me. I have given him all his chances. I have made my decision. It's all over now." She said with a strength in her voice.

"But Rose..." Hydra was going to say something but she stopped her.

"Hydra, I need some time alone. Please." Edwina said. The girl nodded her head.

"Rose, don't take much stress. You are still not well. Take care. I will come back later." She said.

"Thank you, Hydra. But I just need some time. I am fine. I will take a shower then go to the Academy." She said. Hydra nodded her head then move out of her room.

Edwina sits down under the window. She was crying silently hiding her face. I gave up on your Drayke. I will not try to change this all... I will ignore you as you did to me. I will leave you alone. I promise.

Edwina said then standup from her place. She moves in the bathroom. Edwina took a good shower for half an hour. She walks back in her room then opened her wardrobe to grab some clothes.

Edwina was missing Dryake badly. She will grab one of his shirts. Her eyes were filling with waters again and again... It hurts.

Edwina walks out of her room. She stopped in front of another room. It was beside her room. She never dared to go in his room without his permission. But he is not here. Edwina entered his room that was filled with his scent. She stole his black lose shirts all the time. He doesn't know how many times she has to wear his clothes... Edwina slid the glass door of his wardrobe then picked his one shirt.

She wore it that comes down to her thighs. Edwina moved in front of his mirror then used his perfume that will remind her of him all day. Edwina then moves out of his room. She walks in her room then get ready in his big hoodie and loose pants.

Edwina wore her joggers then walk out from the room. She runs outside the gates of the mansion.

Hydra was keeping an eye on her but she knows Edwina will not break any rule of Dryake. So, she let her go to the academy.

Edwina was feeling her wolf back. It was healing her... She didn't know where her wolf was gone last night. But she was feeling so bad. Edwina crosses the bridge then run in the forest. It was her usual routine but she didn't race today. She was not feeling well.

She didn't know what is happening to her? But something is so strange. Edwina walkout in the clearing. The Academy gate was in front. She walks towards the gate then entered inside. She saw the bullies was standing in the front gate.

There was a chaos of happiness on their faces. What is going on? Sheunderstandthen she maintained her distance. She was looking towards them but walking in the opposite direction when she hit her head in someone...

"Oh, damn." She looks.

"Ouch, woo a girl. Where are you going? What are you looking?" Louis babbled?

"Louis, what is going on?" She asked.

"Oh, that!!!" He motioned in the direction of famous kids.

"Today is the eighteenth birthday of Robert Eisler. The Alpha." He said. Edwina again looks in the direction to find Robert staring at her face.
