Ch:8 A Deep Secret

The red sky was creating suffocation in the surroundings. The blood-red sky was hiding the blue sky behind it. The sun was covered in a foggy mist. The circular ball burning with fire was blurred in the sky. It was a dark deep forest filled with only silence, the huge pine trees were looking like monsters that will suck your soul. It was so quiet that a slight sound will elicit a loud bang.

The ground was muddy with pointed pebbles scattered all over the ground. The surroundings were a mixture of red and black creating a deep shade of red.

'Where am I?' Edwina's eyes widen looking at her surroundings. A layer of fear rushed over her body. She was standing in the middle of the ground.

'It is not our forest. How did I come here?' She gulped when she didn't hear any sound. She feels as she is all alone in this monstrous forest.

'What is this weather?' A creepy feeling covered her body when the wind blows from one side of the forest. The cold wind skimmed her body. She starts rubbing her hands.

'Master...' She called in fear. But she didn't get any reply.

'I have to move out from here. It is not safe.' She talked with herself.

Edwina starts stepping in one direction of the forest where she saw a little clearing in the bushes. She was stepping slowly. So, she doesn't produce any sound that will wake any creature of the dark.

A shiver runs down her spine when she a branch touched her skin.

'Who is there?' She turned around to saw but there was no one. She heaved a deep sigh of relieve then again start walking in the same direction.

Edwina step in the same path she finally comes out in the clearing ground. Edwina saw a fire burning on one side of the forest.

'What is happening?' She runs in the direction of burning fire not thinking much! As she gets close to the fire.

She saw a dragon blowing fire on a village.

'Volos! No, it can not be...' Edwina hear screams of people. The wolves were running towards the huge beast to stop it. Suddenly she saw the fire turning into the blue. It becomes ice cold. The dragon was so raged but its eyes were now at serenity.

'What happened? Why he just stopped?' She gets a little closer to the scene.

He shifted back into his human form. She saw Dryake walk towards a huge brown wolf.

'I want her back now!!!' He said. She can listen to the authority in his voice. He looks the same.

The wolf shifted in his human form. Edwina eyes wooden looking at the man. It was Robert!

'Robert?' She was trying to understand the situation.

'What is going on? He wants who?' She mumbled.

'If I will give her back. You promise you will leave my pack alone. Also, you will not harm any of my warriors.' Robert said as he was pleading from him.

'Yes, she is mine. If I have seen a single bruise over her skin. Or I have seen her a little hurt. I promise I will wipe all your species. The supernatural world will forget that werewolves ever exist.' He growled. She saw Robert flinch in fear.

'Where is she?' Drayke asked.

'I don't know. I saw her running towards the forest.' Robert motioned towards the trees where she was hiding.

'There look... She is hiding there..." Robert saw her. Damn, they have seen him.

She saw Drayke move towards her with fire-filled eyes. As it will burn it.

Edwin starts running back towards the forest.

'He will kill me. What is going on?' Edwina was running wildly. Her feet were shredding with the pointed rocks. The blood was oozing from the wound on her feet.

But as she stumbled on a rock. She falls on the ground.

'Here you are.' She heard his deep vicious voice behind her. Edwina turns around to saw Dryake standing close, he shifted in his dragon. Volos throw a ball of fire towards her... Edwina was going to burn in the fire. She will be dead.

"Aw, help me." She screamed so loud.

"Edwina, Edwina, What happened? I am here..." She heard someone calling her name.

"No, no. Please help me. I don't want to die. Master." She screamed again.

"Edwina, I am here. You were watching a nightmare. You are fine. You are safe. I am here." He said grabbing her face in his hands.

"Please help me." She was crying so badly. He was trying to calm her down.

"Rose, open your eyes. Look here." He made her look in his eyes. Edwina opened her eyes. She saw Drayke sitting near him.

For the first time, she saw him worried about her. She saw his emotions. All her body was wet with sweat. She was sweating but her body was so cold.

"Edwina, I am here. Look at me. It was only a nightmare. You are safe with me." He was trying to calm her down. Edwina again cried.

"Master." She whined. He wiped her tears. She feels the tingles on her skin. She looks at bit calm down.

"Edwina, stop crying. Look I am with you. No one can harm you." He said. She moved closer to his body for comfort. She hugged him tightly. Drayke looks a little off guard. But he wrapped his arms around her naive body. He was caressing her back to calm her down. Finally, she looks a little calm down. He didn't move away from her but he was rubbing her back. She feels at peace. Edwina feels secure in his arms.

As her heartfelt at peace, all her fear run away from her body. Her eyes again become drowsy. She slept in his arms.

Dryake moved her away slightly then let her lay on the bed. She was not looking good. Dryake kissed her forehead then move out from her room.

'It was not right. No, way. Why did I punish her! Her wolf is not responding! What happened to her?' Drayke comes into the library. He filled the glass with whiskey then gulped the burning liquid down his throat.

'I had to be very careful with her. Edwina, I am sorry!!!' He sat on his seat.

'I am not good for her. No, I am a beast. I don't deserve her. She is so sensitive girl. I don't want her to get harmed due to me. Ugh!!!' He closed hai eyes resting his head on the backrest of the chair.

'I have to go away from her for some time... She needs peace she needs rest. It will be good if I will stay away from her. But I can not do that...No, I can not leave her. It hurts so bad.' He heaved a deep sigh!

'Bit it is for her safety. Yes, I will ask Hydra to take care of her until I am away.' He decided then again walk back inside her room. Edwina was sleeping so peacefully.

'My baby girl. My Rose.' He thought staring at her innocent face for a few moments. He was going to close the door when he heard.

She was mumbling something in her sleep.

"Master. Fire, Robert. Ice. Help." She was muttering a few words but he was unable to understand.

'Rose, you will be fine. I will not let anyone harm you. I will hide you from all over the world. Your enemies can not lay a finger on you. I promise. I will protect you from all the danger lurking for you. I will give my life to protect you.' He thought looking her then walk out from the corridors. He again steps into the dungeons.

"Hydra, I am in dungeons. Come here." He said through the mind link.

"Master, I will be there in a moment." The girl replied.

Dryake waited for her... She appeared from the waterfalls then walk towards him. Hydra bowed in front of him.

"Master." She said.

"Hydra, I am going on the training. Edwina is not fine. I want you to look for her for some time. Take care of her. I will try to come back as soon as possible." He directly comes on the reason for his call.

"Master, your wish is my command. I will look for her. But, Master I think she can protect herself. She is a..." Hydra was going to complete her sentence when he gave her a deadly look.

"Hydra, it will be good if this secret will live with us. Don't say it in front of me. I know she can protect herself. But we have to wait for two months. Until that it is necessary to protect her. Enemies are lurking near the premises of the Academy. She is safe inside the premises of the Academy. But still, we have to look for her." He explained. She nodded her head.

"Master, I understand. I will be there for her. Don't worry!!! Just two months then we will rise again... The academy will again be ours. It will come back in the right hands." Hydra said. He nodded his head then motioned her to go.

Hydra moves in the backside of the waterfall. She vanished inside the water.

'Edwina, we will meet again soon... Take care.' He said then walked out of the mansion from the dungeons. He shifted in his dragon flying towards the snowy mountains.
