Tristan whispered the name of the woman, "Carol," in shock. Carol answered from the other end of the line, "Tan, love. It's me." Hearing the woman's voice caused Tristan to feel both pain and excitement all at once, but he also felt compelled to act coldly toward her in retaliation for what she had done to him. He asked with a low, cold voice, "Why did you call. What do you want from me?" Tan overheard Carol sighing. Carol apologized, her voice was pleading and you could feel the pain in it. "I know you're mad at me, Tan. I'm really sorry for leaving without telling you." When Tristan couldn't hear anything coming over the other line, a sob broke out suddenly. He was suddenly concerned for the woman, but he is trying to restrain himself from approaching her. Tristan gritted his teeth
