Ciara went to Tan's house the next day, expecting to see him, but as she was about to enter their village gate, she noticed the man's car driving outside the village. When she looked out the window, she saw Tan. She was about to call him but stopped herself when she realized he might ignore her again. She just sighed and drove on to the man's house.
She parked her car and went into Tan's mother's house, where she sat in the living room. I was sitting and staring out the window.
"Aunt Lily." she called out, surprised to see her. She got up from the couch and approached her.
"Ciara." she said, giving her a warm hug. "It's good to see you. How are you doing, honey?" she asked, taking her to the couch to sit.
Tan's mother is already 56 years old, the same age as Ciara's mother, but she is too young for her age. When you see her, you'd never guess she's in her fifties. She has very white skin that turns pinkish when you pinch it, pink lips, and very beautiful brown eyes. Her hair is smooth and straight. She's also very attractive. Uncle Clint, her husband, is in the same boat. He's also far too attractive. Tan is also quite attractive. He got all of their attention.
"I'm doing great, Auntie. How about you?" She asked but then she saw that the woman averted her gaze away from her. "You look like you're not fine at all, Auntie." she said as she sat beside her.
The old woman shook her head and force a smile. "No, I'm alright. How about your mom and dad? How are they doing?
"As usual, they're both busy at work but they are fine." she said, realizing it wasn't the right thing to say. She had forgotten that her Aunt's business was not doing well at the moment.
Aunt Lily replied with a slight smile, "That's good to hear."
"Uhm, to be honest Auntie I'm here because I heard from Dad about the news." she explained, drawing the woman's attention.
"Oh. Is that so?" she sighs deeply. "Well, yes. Your Dad maybe already told you the whole story. Well, if that's how we will up then we have no choice then." she said sadly. Ciara feels bad when she sees her smile.
"Do you want me to help you, Auntie ?" she asked, adding, "I'll ask Mom and Dad about it. I'm sure they'll gonna help you. You're good friends, anyways."
"As much as I want to ask for you help honey but I don't think it's right. I am not on the position to do that. Besides, I know that this is not for you to get bothered with. But don't worry, if anything happens I'm gonna reach out for you first." Auntie Lily said, making her heart skip a beat.
"Please do, Auntie. I'm just always here to help." she said with a smile.
************
"What do you mean?" Tan inquired of the maid. He had just arrived at Carol's house when the maid informed him that she had left. He reached into his pocket for his phone and dialed Natasha's number, but it did not ring. He can only hear the *toot toot* sound.
*Weird. She never left the house without first calling him. Perhaps she has a photoshoot and forgot to notify him? * He pondered.
"Uhm, I'll wait here then. I think she'll come back later." he said as he sat on the couch. "Didn't she tell you anything about where she's going? Or if what time she'll come back? Her phone is turn off so I can't reach her." He said, still trying to send her a message.
"Uhm. To be honest sir, I do know where she went." the maid replied, he nodded his head.
"Okay." he simply replied. "Where she went then? To a photoshoot?" He asked.
But the maid did not answer him so he raised his head
"Uhm, honestly sir she brought with her a huge luggage." the maid added, making him look at her puzzled.
"What do you mean by that?" he inquired.
"I saw her packed her things."
Tan came to a halt when he heard what the maid said and dashed to Natasha's room. His breathing became labored. He doesn't want to think it, but what if Carol left?
*No, no. That is not something she can do to me. He muttered in his head, "She just can't do that."
When he opened Carol's room door, he went straight to her closet and was disappointed to see nothing. Her closet is bare. He looked in every corner of the closet and couldn't find anything.
He sat down on the floor unexpectedly. He appeared frail; he had no idea Carol would abandon him so abruptly. She left him in the dark when he had already decided to support her in her dreams. He felt duped. Tears well up in his eyes as he realizes. It's excruciatingly painful.
*Is this my punishment for being too protective of her and wanting her by my side? I didn't even try to cheat. I just wanted to be with her. We're all together now. Why did she feel compelled to abandon me? *
He rose from the ground and took a look around the room. His gaze was then fixed on the table, which had a single piece of paper on it. He went to get it.
*To Tan,
Hi, love. I'm sorry on leaving like this I hope I've already left for New York by the time you see and read this letter. I'm sorry for not informing you sooner that I'll be leaving this soon because I know you'll just stop me. And I'm not going to let you do that. You are aware that this has been a long-held ambition of mine. I hope you understand what I mean. I'm not going to ask you to forgive me because I left you in the dark and without explanation. And all I want you to know is how much I love you and I will continue to love you even though I am too far away. Remember to always take care of yourself and eat on time. Don't be so stubborn, and please listen to me just this last time. I love you.
Yours,
When he already finished reading the letter left by her he felt extreme pain and anger as well. f**k!
He crumpled up the paper.
"No! How can she do this to me. How can she just leave me like that with just a piece of paper! This is f*****g bullshit!" He raged. He's still not believing it.
His mind is filled with rage. His mind was racing with unimaginable ideas. His hands were clenched into fists.
This is a day he will never forget. He will never forget what she has done to him.
He stormed out of the woman's room and out to his car. He punched his car's steering wheel and cursed like there was no tomorrow.
He needs to drink something. He must forget about her. He requires her removal from his system.
