Chapter 19: Chan’s Apartment

Yuri arrived at The Plaza Residence. Chan immediately took her to his 1 bedroom apartment while carrying some of Yuri's suitcases. Andrew followed carrying the remaining items after parking the car.

Yuri looked at Chan's place in surprise. The interior of this apartment was so luxurious and its location was very strategic on Sudirman Street. Surely the rental price was also very expensive.

"This place is ... very good ..." Yuri said when entering the lobby. The interior of the lobby with luxurious ivory-colored sofas was like entering a five-star hotel.

Chan just smiled and took Yuri into the elevator.

"Where does Andrew live?" Yuri asked.

"Andrew lives in The Plaza Residence with others, but different units," Chan replied.

"Oooh ... are there some others? Like Jason?" Yuri asked.

"Yes, we have been friends since we were in the USA," Chan said, opening the door for Yuri.

Chan's room was not spacious but comfortable and full-facilities. Yuri went inside while being amazed.

"How much is the rent price per month? Looks like our salary can't be enough to pay this apartment monthly, right?" Yuri asked.

"Probably. Don't worry, I have another income," Chan replied, smiling.

Chan helped Yuri pack some of the items she needed from the suitcase. He took out Yuri's penguin doll. Chan took the scissors and handed it to Yuri.

"I know this is your favorite doll. Are you willing to take the flash disk in its stomach? I don't dare to damage your doll, but the flash disk is very important," Chan said, staring at Yuri softly.

"Yes, right. Let me do it," Yuri said, taking the scissors from Chan's hand. She cut a little butt into her doll so that it formed a hole. Then with her small fingers, Yuri reached into the doll's interior and pulled out a very small flash disk.

"This is the flashdisk," Yuri said.

"Do you know what the password is?" Chan asked.

"I'll write down a few passwords that might occur to me. It seems like everything is related to my childhood calls. LittleGirl. Cutie Penguin. Ah or maybe this ..." Yuri guessed while writing down some possible passwords.

Chan smiled as Yuri wrote down some passwords with enthusiasm. He took the paper that Yuri had written and promised to try the possibilities given by Yuri.

A doorbell rang. Andrew stood at the door carrying the remaining items. Chan took Yuri's belongings while handing over the flash disk that had just been taken from Yuri’s penguin doll.

"Check the data on this flash disk. Rosalia hid it. This is a password that might be tried," Chan told Andrew.

"Okay, leave it to us. Let’s call a day for now," Andrew answered as he left.

Chan brought in Yuri's belongings, then he entered the room. Yuri was not in the room, it seemed like she was in the bathroom. Chan casually undressed his clothes and pants, so he only wore underwear. He stretched his muscles to relax the body. That day was quite tiring. Then he casually took his nightwear in his closet.

Yuri just finished changing clothes and was about to enter the room. The door to the room opened slightly, and when she was about to enter, Yuri found Chan was backing her with only wearing underwear. Chan's muscles that were perfectly sculpted on his body looked so tempting.

Yuri was stunned behind the door with a red face. Subconsciously, her gaze stared at Chan's body. She admired every inch of his body that was so charming. Yuri's heart pounded admiring Chan's body. Oh, she really wished if that man were her.

After dressing, Chan turned to face the door and pretended he just realized Yuri's presence. Yuri's face was flushed red and timid, made her really cute and adorable.

"Yuri, come in. It's late. We have to sleep. You have to work tomorrow morning, right?" Chan said while pulling Yuri's hand and bring her to into the bedroom.

"But ... there is only one bed, Chan. I’d better sleep on the floor or on the couch," Yuri said sheepishly.

"Oh yes. It seems that the extra bed was left behind," Chan said as if he remembered, even though he was the one who told Andrew to leave the extra bed in the car.

"Yeah, I'll sleep outside," Yuri said, with her heart pounded. After seeing Chan's six-pack body it was hard to sleep tonight.

"Eh, no need. Come on! Sleep here with me. Take it easy. You are safe with me, okay? I won't do anything you don't want," Chan promised.

Chan took Yuri to sit on the edge of the bed while holding Yuri's hands.

"Listen to me. You are not alone. I promise to protect you," Chan replied, looking at Yuri softly.

"Why do you want to help me so far, Chan? You don't owe me anything. Who are you?" Yuri asked confused.

"Well, it is because we are in the same boat, Yuri," Chan replied, looking into Yuri's eyes deeply.

"The same boat? What do you mean, Chan?" Yuri asked in surprise.

"Our enemies are the same, Yuri. My grandfather died in an accident. But, I think he was killed. I want to know the culprit. And, the Rosalia case seems to be related to my grandfather's death," Chan answered bluntly. He cupped his hand on Yuri's cheek.

"Your grandfather?" Yuri asked confused.

"Yes, my grandfather Surya Gemilang," Chan said sighing.

Yuri was surprised to hear Chan's explanation.

"So, you…"

"I'm just the granddaughter of my grandfather. My father was never involved in managing the Gemilang Jaya Group's business. But it is true, I am the first grandson of the Gemilang family," Chan replied.

"So, your goal of being an employee at Gemilang Gelora is to investigate the death of your grandfather?" Yuri asked guessing.

"Yes, our goal to enter Gemilang Gelora Company is the same, Yuri. We want to know the truth. Therefore, from now on let's work together. I will protect you, Yuri. I will not let you get killed," Chan replied confidently.

Yuri nodded with tears in her eyes.

"Keep my true identity a secret, Yuri. Only you know who I really am. And, don't trust anyone in the office. Try not to keep yourself alone so that the enemy has difficulty doing evil to you. Tomorrow, I'll give you an electric shock device for self-protection," Chan promised.

"Why not now, Chan? I want to know how to use it," Yuri asked in curiosity.

"Thank you for helping me," Yuri answered.

"Your welcome, dear. Now it’s time to sleep," Chan said as he turned off the lights.

This time Yuri agreed to sleep in the same bed as Chan.

Chan laid next to Yuri and quickly fell asleep. His face looked peaceful facing Yuri's face.

Yuri still hadn't fallen asleep despite closing her eyes. When she opened her eyes, Chan's sleeping face was right in front of her. Up close, Yuri could see Chan's thick eyebrows and long eyelashes. Even in his sleep, Chan's face looked sexy and charming.

"Sweet dream, Chan ..." Yuri whispered softly. She kissed Chan's lips briefly and secretly then closed her eyes and fell asleep.

Chan opened his eyes while smiling and looked at theYuri’s beautiful face who was sleeping exhausted.

"Sweet dream, Yuri ..." Chan stroked Yuri's smooth hair. He stroked Yuri's cheek gently.

Yuri smiled in her sleep peacefully.
