A couple weeks later, Erika took Austin up on his offer to watch Bunny while she went out with some friends. “That’s good,” Austin told her. “You’ve been working hard recently. You deserve some personal time to relax.” He had noticed she had been coming home from work more agitated than usual recently. Summer was a hard time for the Davis realty market, since the graduated college students were all moving away and the incoming students were fighting for the cheapest housing. That meant whichever realtor could give them the best deal would be the one to make the sale. Austin could understand why she was stressed and hoped a night on the town would do her good.
