JAYDEN'S POV. We moved silently through the dark house, careful not to make any noise. Aliya led me out the back door, and we slipped into the woods behind the house. The moonlight filtered through the trees, casting long shadows on the ground. We walked in silence for a while until we were far enough away that we couldn’t be heard from the house.
