Seeing him standing there, staring at her brought back all the memories, events of the past. She felt like slapping him but at the same time kissing the hell out of him. He was handsome if not more which was very harmful to her body. She closed her eyes for a moment which made her remember the part of past she always tried to forget. It was her last meet with her parents. She remembered it very well like it happened yesterday.
"Heavens! What were you thinking rolling around with boys at this age? Do you even know what this could cost our company?" Her father exclaimed angrily banging his fist on the table nearby. Sanyukta flinched at the loud bang. Her mother stood up from her seat and stood beside her father looking at her angrily.
"Dad...Dad let me explain" Tears were forming in her eyes. She swallowed the lump formed in her throat. She had neither planned for this but it happened. She couldn't blame anyone but herself.
"Don't say a word. Already you have done enough. I had so many plans for you. Everything, everything is destroyed and all because of you. Do you even realise what you did?"
"You proved that you're a mistake. A big mistake." Her father said angrily. His eyes were wet and he sat on the sofa with a thud. He couldn't look into his daughter's eyes, not after this. Sanyukta's mother placed a comforting hand on his shoulder all while rubbing her tears.
Sanyukta felt as if someone had slapped her, poured salt on her wound. She tried to control a sob from her throat, seeing her parents crying because of her made her heart ache. She wiped the tears with her hands, determined to make them explain.
"Whose the father of child? Huh? I want to meet that asshole who impregnated my daughter" Her father stood up yelling at her. She couldn't tell, the father of the child was not himself accepting that it was his child. How could she tell her father that he broke her heart, called her a gold digger and much more.
She feared that her father will do something drastic, she had heard first time her father curse and also first time he was this furious.
"I...I don't know... papa" she stammered while nervously fidgeting with her dress, she didn't dare look up at her father. Her father was more angry upon hearing this.
"You don't know. Now you are sleeping with random guys. What are you a p********e?" He yelled pointing his finger at her while her mother gasped at the choice of his words. Sanyukta couldn't hold any longer she cried, she cried for the worst day, she cried for her baby, she cried for her broken heart, she cried for her love, she cried for her future.
"I don't want to see your face ever. You are a ungrateful child and I cannot father a ungrateful child anymore." Her father stride out of the living room without even glancing at her. Her mother looked at her for a few seconds and walked away from her, leaving her all alone like he did. He was the cause for this, she could never forgive him.
She snapped out of the memory as she felt a bit shake on her shoulder. She turned back to her uncle who was looking at her strangely. She pasted a fake smile on her face.
"I believe you both know each other?" Oliver questioned.
Randhir hardened his gaze at her. He had seen her after eight long years and she bloomed into a beauty, more beautiful than she was before. He couldn't believe that she could still have that effect on him.
He remembered his last encounter with her, the nasty feeling about her was brought back.
"No" They both answered in unison and looked at each other. Though they hated seeing each other or so they thought, they still held same sparks in them. Their gaze clashed against each other, both not breaking the eye contact. Oliver was enjoying seeing their encounter, he was sure something was there between them. He could feel it.
"Hey Sanyukta---" Aryan halted in his sentence looking at him. He felt like he saw him somewhere but then he convinced himself that it might just be his imagination. He turned towards Sanyukta who was busy looking at the stranger.
"Hey, Aryan meet my best friend's son Randhir. Randhir this is our company advocate Aryan Khan" Oliver said patting Randhir's back. Randhir felt strange hearing the name, he felt like he had heard that before but he was not sure when. He shook Aryan's hand. Oliver wanted to mingle with others too but this situation was risky if he left, for he knew something would definitely happen.
"Sanyukta you forgot this" Aryan handed her the paper he was holding and smiled at her. Sanyukta bit her tongue, she had written the speech in it for tonight, atleast some part of it. As the farewell suddenly sprung up on her she had not prepared the speech well.
"You're a life saver Aryan" Sanyukta said smiling sheepishly at him.
Randhir felt jealousy consume him, it shouldn't affect him seeing her with others but it was affecting him. He clenched his fingers in a fist ready to punch Aryan who was looking at her like a love stuck puppy. That look made him more angry.
"Randhir I hope you're available tomorrow morning for deal discussion with Sanyukta. Your father and I had already looked for the location and I bought it last year in the hope of starting the project but er...I was busy with stuff. You both can go and visit the location and start for further plans." Oliver said looking at Randhir.
Sanyukta stifled a groan, she had a business deal with a devil. She had bear him till the project gets completed which will be minimum for six months. They both had do much of work, selecting the best Engineer for the firm, the Interior designer, the Architecture, have meetings with the advertising agency, the media people and much more work. She sighed thinking about it, working with him under one roof was going to be hell.
"Yes. Absolutely I am free to meet the new President of the company and deal with her" Randhir smirked looking at Sanyukta. He was going to make a memorable deal for her, there was no hiding that he wanted her in his bed but he was going to enjoy tormenting her.
Sanyukta's breath caught in her throat hearing his words, they had a double meaning in them. She wanted to tell him that he had a daughter at home injured but she was not going to. Not to the person who could deny the child and break her heart.

Sanyukta was thankful she was away from him. He was no near her, Oliver had dragged him to meet some of the business associative. Her feet were aching and sitting on the soft lounge with her feet in the grass surely soothed them. Just as she let her clutch drop beside her, the phone started vibrating. She picked the call without glancing at the mobile.
"Hello" she spoke smiling seeing the clear sky above her. She preffered the sky, clear without the stars. Though she liked to see stars but there was something about clear dark sky. It made her feel relieved. It was like a huge blackboard, imaginative, we could draw anything we like.
"Hello. May I speak to Ms Sanyukta Aggarwal?" She heard the soft voice from the other side of the phone. Instantly a smile formed on her lips, her daughter was way too adorable. She grinned trying to play this game of hers.
"May I ask who is this?" Sanyukta asked playing along.
"I am her daughter Riona Aggarwal. I have to speak to her, it's important." Riona's voice was cracking. Sanyukta, alarmed sat straight clutching the phone close to her ear.
"Hey honey is everything fine?" She asked concerned.
"Huh caught you mumma" she heard the giggles from her daughter. Sanyukta shook her head in amusement, her daughter had too many tricks in her sleeves.
"That was tricky sweetheart. Is your leg hurting? Did you take your medicines?"
"Mum I am fine, more than fine. I took medicines and now I am bored. When are you coming back? I want to hear the story."
"Honey I won't be back till few hours. But I believe you have to sleep so you wake up early tomorrow."
"I know mum but I want to hear the story"
Sanyukta sighed. She had to tell her daughter a story every night, the same story.
"Okay get into the bed and lie back I will start the story"
"I am in bed mumma" Riona replied pulling her sheets closer. It was already nine thirty and she was already feeling sleepy. Her medicines were making her drowsy.
"Okay I'll start the story. Once there was a queen, she wanted a king. A noble king so she could love him and also he could love her. She searched for her king, she found one but he was not the one. He made her cry so she left the city and went to another city. There she found another king. He was handsome, she hadn't seen someone so handsome. He was tall and he had black dark eyes just like you do. She loved him but he didn't know that." Sanyukta smiled bitterly at that. She inhaled deeply and continued her story.
"He used to smile at her. He was her friend and he had many other friends too who was queen's friends also. They all used to talk, laugh together. Then one day he gave her a gift, he gave her a baby and left the queen. A princess. She was the most beautiful princess, just like you. The Queen loved the princess more than anyone in the entire world. The Princess grew up with the Queen and they both lived happily ever after" Sanyukta finished the story and sighed.
She didn't knew what came into her mind she told Riona this story, she remembered clearly when she had said Riona this. Riona was only five years when she had asked about her father, Sanyukta couldn't tell her daughter the bitter truth instead lured her into telling a story.
"Mumma will the king return to see his queen and the princess?" Riona asked innocently while letting out a yawn. Sanyukta stilled, her heart ached for her little daughter. She didn't know the story was going to change. He surely came back but she knew that he won't accept Riona. Also she was not going to forgive him.
"I don't know honey if the King loves queen and the princess. No more questions, go to sleep." Sanyukta said getting up from her seat and wearing back the stilettos.
"Good night mum. I love you."
Sanyukta smiled walking towards the stage not even paying attention towards her front.
"I love you too." Just as she uttered those words she collided into a hard body. She lost her footing and as she was about to fall she closed her eyes tightly in the fear of hitting her back but she was surprised as two pair of hands were holding her waist tightly. She slowly opened one eye and looked at her saver, as she saw who it was she quickly backed away from him.
Randhir snickered as Sanyukta quickly moved away from him. He felt angry towards her, he was sure that she was talking to someone special so she was not present here but was lingering around the lounge. He also heard that she said 'I love you too'. It felt good to hear from her lips but not for her lover. He was sure that she was not married as there was no ring on her finger also Oliver didn't mention that she was married.
"No 'Thank you for saving my life'.Wasn't it "lifesaving" enough?" Randhir mocked her tucking his hands inside his pants pocket. Sanyukta could clearly tell that it irked him that she thanked Aryan. She rolled her eyes at him and inspected her gown, thankful that it was not ruined. Her daughter loved this gown way too much.
"Aren't you expecting too much Mr Shekawat?" She glared at him. His comment affected him, hell everything about him affected her.
"Surely that sentence would suffix Ms Aggarwal." He challenged her, his eyes accessing her. It was good talking to her, keeping their last encounter beside he had loved to fight with her. They had too much of passion. He would clearly love to mess with her. She was a talk of many men around here which had angered him. They were eyeing her as if she was a piece of meat. She was unaware or she was doing it on purpose he thought.
His arrogance and that smirk on his face was not something she liked at the moment. She scanned her surrounding, there were only few people around everybody else were already seated at the chairs listening to the speech.
"Are you trying to boost that giant size ego of yours?" Sanyukta asked looking at him.
"Huh here I was thinking I would get a pleasant reply." Randhir replied. He was inwardly smiling, she still had the fire in her. She was still the same feisty girl.
"I have nothing pleasant to say to you Mr Randhir" Sanyukta said angry at him. After eight years he was expecting her to talk pleasant to him. She was far from being pleasant with him. She hated him. Absolutely though he was tempting her, taunting her with his sexy body she absolutely hated him. Convince all you want, but you couldn't deny that he is a candy. She huffed at her subconscious mind.
"Tsk Tsk so much hatred. I don't think I deserve this Ms Aggarwal." His voice was husky. She looked at him, he sounded just like the times they were together alone. Teasing each other, kissing each other. But his reply angrier her. He deserved her hatred, she thought.
"You're right, you don't deserve this. You deserve far more worse than this Mr Shekawat" Sanyukta said angrily and walked past him with glancing at him. He felt a sudden emotion in him. He didn't like the feeling of her hating him so much. It was bound to be after he said wo many things to her last time. He shook his head trying to get rid of his thoughts. She deserves this, she tried to pin somebody's else child on me.
Only if he knew.
