It's no big deal" Sanyukta argued looking at the taxi driver who was frustrated, his face was tired and he was any moment going to yell. Randhir shot her angry glare snatching the money she had removed from her purse. She turned towards him angry at him. "That's what I am trying to say. It's no big deal let me pay" Randhir said handing the money from his pocket. They were having the same argument from past twelve minutes to be exact. After they had landed safely from flight they had hailed a taxi so that they can come to hotel which looked a bit shabby. Though the exterior was shabby and the color was worn off Sanyukta prayed that inside was better. "Sir madam why don't you split the money in half? I have to go back" The taxi driver said his voice on the edge. They agreed to that and paid him and walked inside the hotel. She smiled looking at the interior it was not as bad as the exterior. It felt nice to be inside rather than a cold night outside. She noticed the creep looking guy near the reception. He was accessing her up and down like she was some commodity. She uncomfortably shifted and looked back waiting for Randhir to enter. Just as he walked inside carrying his bag she pretended to look at the painting of the fruit hanging on the wall but in real she had let a sigh of relief. "Did you take the keys?" Randhir asked her as he found her looking around. "No. I was seeing around." Sanyukta said and walked towards the reception with him following behind her. He rolled his eyes and walked forward. "Excuse me. We have booked two rooms under Sanyukta and Randhir Shekawat." Randhir politely informed. "Let me just check sir" The guy said adjusting his glasses to which Randhir nodded. He tapped his feet against the floor to ease the stiffness in his legs. "Yes sir the booking is confirmed but only room is booked." He said giving them a half smile. "What? That's not possible. Can you check again?" Randhir half yelled that caught Sanyukta's attention. She turned towards Randhir and saw him frowning. "What happened?" She whispered close to him. "Did you do it on purpose? Did you book only one room under our name?" Randhir glared at her. Angry at his accusation Sanyukta yelled, "I did not book the rooms. Marilyn did and you were there when I was giving her the instructions. So don't dare accuse me of something I didn't do." Just then they heard the footsteps from the door of the that was near the reception area. Sanyukta turned towards the voice noticing some cute guy walking from there. "Is there a problem Victor?" He asked that creepy guy. Then they were whispering to each other while she and Randhir were standing beside each other. "Sir madam we have only one room booked for you both. I remember the call I had received it. We booked the couple suite for Mr and Mrs Shekawat." He said explaining to them and showing them the entry. Sanyukta groaned looking at the entry, she was going to kill Marilyn. That little minx. "Okay listen there's some..." "Can we get the keys now? I am so tired that I forgot about the booking." Randhir smiled and quickly slid his arm around Sanyukta making her look at him in shock. Victor nodded his head and handed him the keys to which Randhir quickly took and dragged Sanyukta along with him holding her waist leaving their luggage there. Sanyukta dazed at his behaviour followed him without uttering anything. Just as they entered their bedroom which was gladly on the first floor she frowned. There was no extra couch just two love seats and a large bed. Randhir left Sanyukta near the door and walked inside and removed his shoes. He sighed as they felt relieved after being free from the right clutch of his shoes. He looked at Sanyukta who was standing near the door looking at the bed. "Are you insane? Why did you let them believe that we were husband and wife?" Sanyukta yelled angrily walking inside the room and turning towards him. "My shoes were killing my feet and also we had no option. There were no rooms available and I couldn't search for a hotel barefoot and at this time of night" Randhir boredly informed to her. Sanyukta glared at him, confused at his behaviour. She clutched her shrug closer and went towards the heater to turn it on. She groaned looking that the heater was actually damaged and good lord there was so much cold inside the room. "Sir here are your luggage" Randhir heard the same man keeping the luggage near the coffee table. He looked at Sanyukta who looked hesitant. He before tipping Victor walked towards her. "What's the problem baby?" Randhir asked standing so close to her such that if she tipped a inch forward their lips would meet. She shivered at his husky voice, the room temperature suddenly seemed too cold giving her goosebumps all around her arms. "Umm...the.. heater...It's not ...wor..king" Sanyukta said her voice barely audible to the Victor who was straining his ears to hear them. Randhir looked at the heater and noticed that the wire was damaged near the switch. He looked at her, her lips shivering due to the cold so he inches forward and placed his lips on hers for a quick kiss. "I'll ask him about it." He pecked her lips one last time and turned towards the man who was standing more than leaning against the door. Randhir frowned at him. "Can you replace the heater? My wife's getting cold" Randhir said pointing at the heater and then he gazed at Sanyukta who looked shocked. Clearly this behaviour must have shocked her. "Sorry sir we don't have any extra available. The rooms are full and everyone is using the heater" "Damn! Okay then can you send two cups of hot coffee?" Randhir asked tucking his hands inside his pants pocket for fetching the money. "Yes sir I'll bring the coffee" Victor said taking the money and walking outside the room. Sanyukta sighed looking him walk out then she turned towards Randhir who was opening his luggage. "Why did you kiss me?" Sanyukta asked pulling his arm and turning him around. "We have to pretend to be a couple in front of the hotel staff" Randhir said though he clearly had enjoyed kissing those lips. Though it was only for a minute and then a peck but he did enjoy kissing her. He was going crazy not being able to touch her. "Don't kiss me with out my permission again." Sanyukta glared at him folding her arms and bringing them close to her chest. "Oh I did more than kiss you Sanyukta" Randhir answered smugly smirking at her. He wasnt going to get embarrassed or deny her but he was going to remind her the time they were fooling around together. "How dare you..." She was cut off by the loud ringing of her cellphone. She had switched the cell in the taxi but she didn't call anyone yet. She walked and picked the phone from the purse still glaring at him. "Hello Sanyukta" she heard the male voice from the other side. She smiled as soon as hearing Aryan's voice. He had called her. She saw Randhir getting back to unpacking his luggage. "Hi Aryan. Yes I have reached safely...Hmm yeah it's cold...Yeah I will...No not yet...Sure...I'll talk to you later... Okay night" Sanyukta smiled and quickly messaged Oliver that she had reached safely as she didn't feel like disturbing his sleep. It was already ten in evening and she knew that he must be with Riona telling her stories. She did not want to disturb that. Randhir tried hard not to yell at her, the Aryan guy was really getting on his nerves. She was too much of smiling talking to him. He heard the knock on the door signalling that his coffee had arrived. He let Victor keep them on the coffee table and locked the door. "Randhir where are you going to sleep?" Sanyukta asked innocently keeping her phone on charge and walking towards her luggage. "I'm sleeping on bed Sanyukta surely." Randhir gave her a sweet smile and walked towards the washroom to change his clothes. Sanyukta sighed as he left so she opened the luggage to take out her night dress. She took out a black silk nightie that reached up to her thigh and along with it there was a black robe serving as a shrug to it. She regretted bringing this but then she thought she had her own room and also she wore these nighties when she's at her home. She couldn't sleep in her current outfit so she picked the nightie and waited for Randhir to come outside. She hear the sound of turning of the knob gesturing he was back. He walked dressed in black tracks and full sleeved white t shirt. She envied his outfit it surely made him feel comfortable unlike her. Sympathizing with herself she went into the washroom to change her dress. Randhir took a look at the bed and sighed. He had to convince Sanyukta to sleep with him. Not literally but sharing a bed with me. Geez I should not sleep with her again! He took his coffee and settled into the bed pulling the covers till his waist and sighed happily on feeling warmth due to the warm covers on his body and turned on the television. He changed the channel and let out a groan looking only three channels available. Seriously it was good thing they were building a hotel here he thought. He stopped at the channel displaying some music. It was featuring some love songs as the title read. He heard the footsteps emerging out from the washroom so he turned his head and hooted in his mind looking at her. She was looking so sexy her long legs exposed, her black nightie reaching up to things exposing her white creamy legs and showing a little cleavage as it had a v shaped cut. The robe did cover her arms though. As she looked at him pointedly he turned his head back to the television. "Do we have to share the bed?" Sanyukta asked sitting on the left side of the bed and looking at Randhir. Sleeping with him on the same bed was not safe it was like asking the robber to guard the bank or asking the fat child to look after the cake. It was a temptation hard to resist. "Do you have a better option?" Randhir asked handing her the coffee from the coffee table. She shook her head and accepted the cup from his hand. Her hands were cold. Sanyukta moved more towards the covers her legs were getting cold. She tucked her legs inside the duvet. She moaned as the hot liquid entered her mouth, it felt good to sip something hot. She gulped the hot drink while ignoring his eyes on her. "I'm warning you don't try to come close to me. Be on your side and switch off all the lights before sleeping." Sanyukta said pointing her index finger at him and then gave him the cup and laid down. Randhir shook his head in amusement at her and kept the cup aside. He saw that she had closed her eyes but her breathing was uneven which meant she was still not asleep. He started to sip the coffee while watching the song though he was much interested in cuddling with her. He gulped his coffee and switched off the television not at all interested in watching. He wanted her to talk with him. Anything at least he wanted her to yell at him. He was not at all liking the silence in presence of her. They were never the type of people to stay silent. "Randhir... I'm... getting.... cold" Sanyukta whispered pulling the covers closer. The window was also closed and the fan was also not switched on but there was a large gap more like a rectangular window with no grill or glass on the top of wall. The cold air was coming through it. Randhir felt a pang of grief looking at her. She looked so innocent and fragile laying there holding her duvet closer. He moved closer to her as she was facing him and held her closer giving her some body heat. He was not as cold as she was. She clunged to him and put her head on his chest while he held her closer by her waist inhaling her sweet fragrance. He was whispering sweet words to her consoling that the time shall pass soon but he didn't want to end this time, didn't want the time to end their moment. As she snuggled to him forgetting everything for a while she fell into a deep slumber. ***
