Clara’s pov

1033 Words
I raced through the trees, my legs making rustling sounds against the floor as I ran. I didn't know what was following me, but I ran. I knew I heard footsteps behind me. Hot tears left my eyes as my strength was starting to exhaust. I took a glimpse behind me and saw a few wolves. I wasn't meant to be tired, as this was my daily life now. I ran through the woods from threats as they thought I was a rogue. I had absolutely nowhere to go, so the only way to survive was to live as a rebel in the woods where I would be chased every day, yet life was tough; I barely ate each day. “Stop!” One of them howled, but I never stopped running, though I knew they were coming up. I looked behind me again, and they were only a foot away from me. Before I could look back in front of me, I ran into something big that had me falling on my ass to the floor. I looked up in front of me and saw a man; he was wonderfully built, but I could tell who he was. He was the Alpha of the Greyhood. I quivered at my own thoughts of how evil he was. At that point, I knew I was dead meat. I tried looking into his eyes, but I couldn't stand it; my gaze automatically dropped, and the fire in his eyes killed mine. My chest heaved up and down as my heart pounded in my ribs. My gaze moved behind me, trying to find a getaway route, but I was surrounded by them. I squeezed a heap of dirt in my hand as I knew this was the end for me. The Alpha took a step closer to me, watching a little sweat drip down my face. “Mate,” he said, his voice soft yet husky. My eyes opened as I slowly raised my gaze up to look at his majestic face. The dogs behind me howled aloud as The Alpha spoke again, “She is mine.”. My chest heaved more, and I felt pressure. What was he talking about?! I can't be his mate! I could never have a mate; I didn't have a dog! Besides, I wasn't ready to have a mate, not after the pain I went through after being rejected by my real mate, who only had s*x with me and rejected me after that. I quivered in fear as his words gave me the chills. One of them then grabbed me by the wrist from behind, and I screamed, “Let go of me, you jerk." He didn't think twice; he clawed my neck quickly, making me scream in pain. “Let me go!” I cried as his claws scratched my neck. He didn't let go; he looked into my eyes, making me look back into his blue eyes. The Alpha howled, “Let her go, Jay!”. The guy quickly let go of my neck, making me cough. He didn't even let me heal. I felt something hard hit me on the head, and darkness quickly surrounded me. …………………………………. My eyes opened, and I met myself in a luxury room; there was a bandage stuck to my forehead. I looked around in confusion, trying to figure out where I was. However, I got out of bed and slowly walked to the bathroom. After looking at my face for so long in the mirror, I put on a robe and went out of the room and was met with a long walkway with lots of rooms. I squinted my eyes, trying to clear my vision. There were guards on each side of the path; they stood like statues, acting as if I didn't exist. I really didn't know where I was going; I only walked down the hallway, which was made the same way all through; it felt like I was in an unending illusion. I finally stopped when I got to a room with a special door that looked different. I was hearing voices from inside as the door was slightly ajar, and I chose to go in or at least listen. I put my ear against the door. “What the f**k are you saying?! This wasn't the plan!! You said you love me!” A lady yelled. “I do l-” I heard the Alpha's loud voice, but I couldn't listen to the rest of his words as a guard came and pulled me away from the door. I fell to the floor and frowned at him, “What was that for?" He helped me up, still holding on to my arm. “I'm sorry I pulled you that hard. But you cannot be listening to Isabella and Alpha's conversation,” he responded. I rolled my eyes. “That's none of my business." “Would you love to be reported and get killed?!” He asked, “I do not care. What are you doing? Just let me go!” I yelled, “No! I’m doing my job!” He howled. I quickly pushed him off and ran into the room; that wasn't my plan, but I didn't know what exactly came over me. The door busted open, and I was in the large room. The Alpha was standing before Isabella, who was backing me, facing him. She was gorgeous; I could tell from her long and shiny black hair like those in a shampoo ad. The Alpha's eyes stayed on me for a second. She beat him on his chest. “What the f**k are you looking at, huh? I'm speaking here!” She yelled. The Alpha was still looking at me with a frown drawn across his face. Isabella turned back to me with a confused look written on her face. My eyes opened as I saw her pretty face. I didn't expect to see her here; I mean, what in the ass was she doing here?! How!! What the heck!! How did she say, “Clara?” She whispered in shock, her eyes slightly wider. “Isabella,” I called.
