Nick stretched his legs and rubbed his temples. The poker salon was noisy, smoky, and crowded. He’d spent the last few hours watching his mate bluff—and not just in poker. The bar was open and so was the kitchen. He’d escaped the boredom of pretending to be fascinated by watching Todd win some and lose some by ordering food and drinks.
